Dozy Barclaycard making a mountain out of a mole hill

Several months ago my OH and me received letters from Barclaycard saying that if we transferred to their on-line statements we would get £20 of vouchers. So that evening I went on-line and changed both of our billing to on-line. Great, we now get e-mails instead of written statements.
BUT, my OH's vouchers arrived a few weeks later, mine never did.
So I e-mailed Barclaycard and said "Oi, where's my vouchers?" Simple enough you would have thought.
No. I have had e-mails, 3 letters and it has been escalated to a full complaint where I can apparently go to the financial ombudsman if I am not satisifed. Instead of faffing about with all this, why not just stick my vouchers in the post?:(

You're thinking about it far too logically for dealing with Barclaycard's useless Indian call centre.
Wait it out and you'll probably find that, as the ombudsman deadline approaches, it gets passed to one of their UK staff to look at who will be able to apply some common sense and either get you your vouchers, or credit your account £20.0 -
Or just email a complaint to Bob.Diamond@Barclays.com You wont get a reply from him, but the complaint will be dealt with by teh 'Directors Office' complaints team - probably within about 20 minutes of getting your mail0

If the voucher offer is still on then go back to printed statements. Wait a couple of weeks. Go paperless again.
Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Hmm.
Slightly different issue but I remember opting for paperless billing a couple of months ago and I have not received a statement since, either by email or post....
Luckily I always pay by online transfer, after logging in to the my account to check the balance on payday.0 -
Call her back, you are now through to the directors office complaints team and their job is to make you a happy customer again. If you have other issues, now is the time to raise them. The biggest fear for a big company is that they will end up on the front page or in court defending something that a Director was informed about and ignored.
I am not saying they will give you everything you want, but you are in a much better position that talking to a 'normal' agent or the standard complaints team.
Good luck0 -
