How to build your credit History

Hey all,
I want to build up my credit history , this month i will pay off my barclaycard , then shall i apply for a capital one card to build my credit history..?

just use and pay off your barclaycard every month,no need to open a new cc

If you have an Initial card from Barclays, use it. It's a card for building credit history.

After using it for a while, try upgrading it. Too many credit cards will make it hard for some people to budget, and overspend.

With Barclaycard, as far as I know they don't do upgrades.

You have to close the Initial and apply for a better card

I don't have a Barclaycard. However, for example, if I close the Initial card, apply for another card, and get rejected for the upgrade, that means I have no credit card. lol. That doesn't make sense.

I hope they change their policy soon.

I doubt they will, they also have the habit of accepting people and then closing the account before they get to use their card.
