Which credit card?
My boyfriend wants a credit card to help with christmas costs, which will be paid in full in January. He's looked at Barclaycard, the Goldfish one seems it would suit him (0% purchases), but it says you must earn £20,000 PA. Do you have to earn this? He already has a loan with Barclaycard and an immaculate credit rating.…

Halifax card care
I recently applied for a Halifax credit card (12 months 0% on purchases for existing customers). When I applied online I was very careful to untick PPI etc. Rather than wait for the application in the (delayed) post, I went into branch today and they printed it all off for me. "Card care" at £18 for a year is on the…

Why am I paying for someone else's credit card?
Hello, Go easy on me, this is my first post. Here's the story so far. I checked my internet banking this morning (as I do most days) to find that my credit card provider (who shall remain nameless for the moment) had taken £460 by DD. This struck me as a little odd as I don't use that card very often. I went through the…

Credit card or car finance?
Hi all, I'm buying a new car this week and I need to finance about £4500 of it. I was wondering if it would be a better idea to take out a credit card for this finance or to take the finance offered by the dealer. I'm being offered a base rate of 6.9% from the dealer, which I imagine will work out about 13/14% APR. This is…

Egg rip off
I went to St Marteen last week on a cruise, I went into a jewelry shop and spotted some hello Kitty bits for my 12 year old, 1 was a watch with a pink strap and another a bracelet. The lady advised that the two together would be Twenty four sixty, which I thought was about right. When she put my egg through the receipt…

They now seem to be claiming they never made such offers to customers who have had…
