Morgan Stanley/Goldfish now charging £20 pa!
I got a Morgan Stanley card some time ago due to the good cashback rate and my tendency to always pay off my entire balance each month. Now Barclaycard have taken over, it seems that they are going to charge card holders £20pa just for having the credit card! OK, so they're waiving the fee this month, but next year, all…

Both myself and my ex-fiance are having a bit of trouble with the HSBC. We both went on reduced payments as my ex lost her job. After six months the HSBC took us both to DG Solicitors who have been quite nasty and very threatening towards us both. I've been threatened with my job and threatened with my property being…

Capital One Platinum Card
My friend has just been accepted for this card. It offers 0% for 15 months on purchases and transfers the latter with a 3% fee. I presume this card is one of the few it is safe to do both at the same time without incurring interest? I recall a article advising against this and getting two separate cards in most cases.

Credit Crunch
The long arm of the credit crunch. Well the banks caused the bloody problem in the first place by giving any old Tom, !!!!!! or Harry who simply said they earned over £30,000 a year... 110% mortgages. Now the banks have to be a bit more fussy it would seem! Had a letter today from my bank about my ‘unused’ credit card.…

Capital one cashback card
Hi all, just been approved for a capital one cashback card but having read the agreement it seems the 4% offer only runs until the 1st August and not September as advertised. This effectively gives me only one month of purchases at the 4% rate. Has anyone had this happen to them and if so, have you managed to negotiate a…

Free credit reports - why can't we Brits get them?
I know we can get them once if we sign up to Experian and Equifax's free trial. But why is it that the Yanks and Ozzies get them free, when we have to pay £6. And the Americans even get a website they can get them from, and we have to try and decode those statutory things. Cheek of it. Can't be right, can it? Anybody know…

Liquidation - Recourse to Credit Card Company
We've just learnt that the shop we bought all our equipment for our twins arrival in August (cot beds, prams, car seats, etc) has gone into liquidation. We have not received anything from them (and it seems as if they have not paid the suppliers for months, thieving b'tards!). We paid on our credit card, and was wondering…
