What is an unrecorded enquiry?
An unrecorded enquiry is a search that was not made for lending purposes. It is not seen by lenders but is included on your credit report so you are aware the search was made. 632
Hiya Darcy - found this doing a search on Google.

short answer is none. An unrecorded search as Bosie said is not made for lending purposes so is of no interest to potential lenders. eg. if you ask for a credit report for your own use then its unrecorded. You see it cos its a search on your credit file but potential lenders dont need to know

but it was made by a lender?!?you cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0

Other lenders still won't see it. They probably just did a routine identity check or a check to see if your credit file still had you at the same address. Nothing to worry about.darcyvuqua wrote: »but it was made by a lender?!?

it was made by capital one after i had appealed there rejection just after i had my outstanding debts paid (ccj & default) would they then be able to see them as satisfied and would they actually overturn there decision?you cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0

They've possibly had a few complaints about secondary credit searches (following appeals), and been asked to remove them. By making an unrecorded enquiry, which returns the same results, there's no need to (possibly pay to) have it removed from your file.
BTW, I can't believe you've thanked our (very sad) spammer friend for essentially (because they've said nothing new) plugging their website in their signature.0 -
oh yes yb i did not really notice i cant unthank now tho ay
yb do you know if they do in fact overturn there original decisions??
i appealed after my ccj and default was marked satisfied and when i was refused they were still marked outstanding do you think i will get a big fat no back after my appeal?you cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
Yes, I've seen reports of successful appeals. However, those people were stoozers and didn't have CCJ's on their files, whether satisfied or not.darcyvuqua wrote: »yb do you know if they do in fact overturn there original decisions??0 -
