HSBC Credit Card

Both myself and my ex-fiance are having a bit of trouble with the HSBC.

We both went on reduced payments as my ex lost her job.
After six months the HSBC took us both to DG Solicitors who have been quite nasty and very threatening towards us both.

I've been threatened with my job and threatened with my property being repossessed if I don't agree to there monthly payments.

Where as my ex-fiance has been taken to court despite her filing for bankruptcy and their trying to take money of our property to clear the debt.

I thought these credit cards were unsecured. So how are they trying to do this to us?

Credit cards are unsecured debts, however HSBC can take you to court to register a default and for the court to impost a payment plan, only if you didnt adhere to that could they send round the baylifts, wouldn't worry about your job, nothing they can do about that unless they employ you, and for the charging order, only if it is a massive amount of money could they do this, and then once again that has to be done by a judge and you can fight for it, espcially if you are paying them at the moment, worst case, they take you to court, court looks at your income and expendeture and orders you to pay ££ a month,

Sorry I cannot offer any practical help, but a cc firm tried this on with me.

It's just bully boy tactics, and you should take no notice of the idle threats

Someone will offer better help, but from my experience, just ignore their rhetoric.

The worst I can see happening is they take you to court and the court orders you to pay £x per month. Don't let any bailiffs into your house, they have no right of entry without a court order. Don't even open the door to them, as they will try and be bullies.
