Confused over selection of new card

in Credit cards
I've been reading up on credit cards and am becoming more and more confused.
I want to take the family on holiday to mainland spain or tenerife and am looking for a card that will help pay towards the flight costs.
Am i better off going for one of the airmiles cards, a nectar credit card, the tesco credit clubcard or a cashback card.
Initially I was drawn to the nectar card as I can also get the points on my normal reward card but then I saw that tesco are offering upto 4 x the value of points when exchanged for vouchers.
I then thought to look at airmiles cards and some of them seem good, even one offering 6000 miles when you first use the card (but theres an annual fee of £120 so maybe not so good).
I will be spending between £300 and £500 a month and will pay it off in full.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
I've just been onto the airmiles site and calculated the cost to fly to Malaga - total miles required are 5700 so the card with the annual fee of £120 doesn't look so bad when you consider that it cost us nearly £550 to fly last year.

Better do more research into this before you make a decision. You seem torn between accumulating airmiles, or cashback, or points. What's more important to you? Do you take your family for a holiday often, or is this a rare treat? If you're a "frequent flyer" then yes an airmile card would be the one for you. If you're aiming for a more general all-in-one card, then the Nectar card would be the one for you.0

Thanks for the reply.
Holiday is a rare treat so will look in more detail at the other options available.
Thanks again.0
