In December I booked flights for a holiday later this year. Paid using Egg Card. Paid it off before any interest was applied. For the flight I need to…

Alliance & Leicester credit card APR increase?
Hi all, Got a letter today from A&L telling me they were changing my APR to 18.9% from 15.9%. Anyone else get this? Tried calling them to see why, but their systems were down. I also have a excellent credit rating, and usually pay the balance on this (if any) every month, so does not really affect me, however I sometimes…

Payment Protection Insurance on Credit Card
From taking my Halifax Visa credit card out in July 1999 I have had payment protection premiums added to my balance. I read Martin's article on this and thought I'd try my luck as I knew I hadn't actually signed anything requesting the Halifax to implement this policy. They replied that indeed they could not find any…

Another Successful Raid on the Credit Cards
After Martin's advice on claiming late fees and overlimit charges by cloning his templates and sending them off to MBNA, I was offered an initial settlement figure of £84 on a full claim of £329. Needless to say I held out and proceeded to lodge a complaint with the FOS. Within 2 weeks of threatening them with them with…

My brain's fried - what should I do ?
I can't work out if this is worth it, or even wise, considering the 'egg letter' thing (I haven't received one - yet). I've just had an 'anniversary offer' letter from Egg, offering 0% until 1st July 2008. I have £2,500 on the card at the mo, with an insane £12.5K limit. I have a £3,000 overdraft that I'm paying 19.3% APR…

Is there a credit card that I can pay it off with. the bank are telling me that it would be classed as a cash advance or a cheque so there is no way I can get this over to a 0% deal at all. I'm currently paying 6.8% on the loan. Or is there a bank account offering low rates that I could…

Halifax closing credit card account??!
