Hello everyone, I was hoping some more experienced savers could have a look at what I am intending to do, and tell me if they think I have missed anything: I currently have an overdraft with HSBC (charged at 18.8%) per year, and am overdrawn between £1400 and £2800 per month. I also have an HSBC credit card (charged at…

Not that it bothers me at all but after the old saga with MBNA many people have every few months of the yoyo interest rates they are at it again. I use HSBC's online banking to manage my current account and credit card. What's the difference % pa & %APR
I did a life of balance transfer last year, and although the purchase rate is 15.9% variable APR, I am paying 4.9% p.a. for life of balance. I don't understand the difference between the p.a. and APR, so can't tell if I have a good rate. I DO NOT USE THE CARD FOR PURCHASES EVER!
