MBNA getting twitchy

Not that it bothers me at all but after the old saga with MBNA many people have every few months of the yoyo interest rates they are at it again.
I paid about 1800 off mine to start reducing it and within days they are on the phone "reviewing my account" and have reduced my available limit down to what I now have left on the card...
They are really getting twitchy..no idea what they dont like about me as I have never missed payments but I will be glad to see the back of them.

Thanks for the warning. I've got a switch to make over the coming months so I'll see how they play with me! Who know what happens in the world of "the computer says no"...For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070

Sounds like they will be glad to see the back of you. I know they regularly check their customers credit files and this must be where the problem is.
MBNA are in the business of making money and do not believe they will reduce credit limits without good reason. I have been a holder of an MBNA for a long time gets lots of promotional rates and they have never reduced my credit limit. Must be favouritism!0 -
MABLE, they have been doing this to everyone, they cut my limit once but havent touched it since, I think its relating to exposure should everyone spend on their cards they won't have the funds to cover it!0

Well my history is not perfect, I was an idiot in my early 20's and still pay for it now but I earn above average and on the one side MBNA hate me yet Nationwide/Cap1 throw credit and offers my way....go figure.
I just told her to be fair she was just pushing me to do something I have been meaning to for ages and take my business elsewhere...something about MBNA I dont like
Could it also be I'm financially linked by a mortgage to someone who defaulted with MBNA so they view me now as a bigger risk?Debt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100
