Anyone done a balance transfer to a John Lewis Partnership card?
I did this online earlier this week, just had to enter the amount and the card number I wanted to pay off (which I double checked). When I look at my online transactions it shows up as "Balance transfer to <first five digits>" under description and then under Location/contact it has the last 10 digits of my credit card no.…

Vanquis credit card
I had an interesting item of mail today.....an offer of a new credit card. It was almost impossible to resist (not)! A massive credit limit of up to £2000 but more likely £150-250. The best part was the typical APR of 59.0% but variable from 44.6% to 69.5%!! I just wondered if that has to be one of the most ambitious…

Scandalous interest rates
Today received by post an invitation to open a new credit card. Vanquis Visa. Initial credit limit of £150. Annual fee £19. Initial interest rate of 69.5% APR. Can this be correct or am I missing something? In any event I am pretty sure this is the most ridiculous credit card interest rate in Britain if not the world! Only…

Does reducing credit limit increase your credit rating?
I'm applying for a mortgage and found out through Experian that my credit rating is 'poor'. The other day, I added up my total credit limit on my cards and found it was around £22000. I have…
