I currently hold a Natwest Standard Credit card which I don't use much, but keep for 'safety'. I have recently received a mailing offering to upgrade me to a Platinum card which includes some minor benefits. Reading through the t&c's the conditions don't seem to be the same as those advertised on the Natwest website.…

How did you 'Stooze' before SBT's.
Thank god for the Credit Card 'mules' where you can transfer Credit Limits from them, and other Credit Cards, straight into a Current Account. But how did this system work before then?? How did you, in effect, get your hands on the 'dosh'?

List of who ownes each card
I thought it very helpful if there was a list of who owns each credit card. I once applied for a Lloyd’s card not knowing my Goldfish card was owned by Lloyds and got turned down and probably a wasted credit check, you read this all the time on here. Let me know the ones you know and I will update this first note to make a…

MBNA fees clarification
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a letter of complaint to MBNA about the vagueness of their T & Cs regarding BT fees. I also wanted to know why their staff seemed unable to give me a straight answer. Anyway, here's an extract from a letter I received from Rachel Moss, Head of "Customer Satisfaction": ........In accordance…

Cards - which order to apply?
In an attempt to maximise our initial stoozing profits, both my wife and I plan to each apply for 3 cards. The plan is for us each to hold Capital One 18 months, Virgin 9 months, and an Egg card each. Myself I've been accepted for both Virgin (already SBT'd £9.5K to current account), and Egg (with a healthy initial £7.5K…

First ever credit card help?
My sister wants to apply for a credit card. She's on about £1000 a month but has no credit history (she's only 19 and still lives at home). She tried applying for a Tesco card last week but got refused. What would be the best one for her to try now? BTW, she WILL get the "pay it off in full every month" lecture from me at…

Applied for a Virgin card to take advantage of the 9 month interest free period. However got declined because I already have another MBNA card (Conran). A way around the 2% balance transfer fees
Just a quick one... I recently signed up for the abbey national c.card - 0% for 9months. When I received the forms to sign, in the small print was "a 2% bt fee is payable", not advertised at the start. I rang up, explained that I was originally going to transfer £3,500 - however, I wasn't prepared to pay a 2% fee (£70) &…
