just got my application form for a Lloyds tsb credit card and it says on application form you get if you do it in first 6 weeks of card 0% interest on balance transfers for 6 months-anyway rang up to make sure and woman on phone when i enquired if this included a cheque for upto my credit limit to be paid into my bank account she said it did not include this?
Any ideas-as only wanted this card so i could stooge it, but no point having it if they wont let me take my credit limit out in form of a cheque.

With Lloyds you need a balance from anaother card to tranfser to the Lloyds card. If you get an EGG card they allow you to BT onto EGG then straight into your bank account.

    Hope this helps

They have answered your question. If you balance transfer to another credit card its free for 6 months if you don't then it won't be.

If you have a A.N other VISA which offers cheques that are fee-free then you could write a cheque to yourself from there and Lloyds will transfer the balance to that card as a 'valid' transaction. You will then just end up paying interest for the days in-between on the second credit card. [Write a cheque for a slightly smaller amount, though, eg £25 so that the card is still left 'in credit' after the interest has been deducted you can then spend on the card again] This won't work with other credit cards that are cards issued by Lloyds, of course, you have to find different card provider.

Otherwise get an Egg card as the poster above has said.
