Abbey MBNA question
May have done wrong here. We have applied for the above card but when filling out the online form we didn't mention any BT amount as we didn't know what credit limit we would get. This morning the forms have come through for signing with a £6k credit limit. There is a BT slip and it does say on that that MBNA will contact…

CITI platinum 2.9% life of balance

Credit Rating - best way to improve it?
Hubby and I have, over the last year or so, missed a fair few payments on nearly all our credit cards although I would add (in any defence I may possibly put forward!) is that these have been made up. However I know that missed payments are recorded on your credit history for a minimum of 36 months before they 'drop off'…

Card Protection
Lloyds/TSB offer an overseas banking facility for those expats who reside outside the UK. This perfectly legitimate service is a way of ensuring that those of us who reside overseas can keep a Sterling account which is UK based with the facility of a Debit Card etc. Lloyds have been charging £50 a year for maintaining this…

Single Use credit cards
Does anyone know where one can get the "single use" credit card. This is generally where one has an existing CC and the issuer allows the user to generate additional CC numbers for one of transactions with a specified credit limit, in order to limit CC fraud.

Mint Cheques, all a bit confusing..
Mint's website claims (link Mint card summary ), and I quote: "Cheques 0% for 7 months from account opening". And it makes no mention of a fee for actually using a cheque. I phoned Mint to check this and the sales person seemed to agree with this assertion.. Yet now I have the credit agreement, the T&Cs state there is not…

Capital One 9 month 0% offer
I got a leaflet yesterday for a Capital One 9 month 0% deal. This does not detail any charges for BT. If they did charge would they have to specify it on the application form? I was put off the Capital One 18 month deal because that specified a 2% (£50 max) charge. Do they have different charges for different deals?
