Have I messed up my stoozing?
Hi all I applied for my new Egg Card in February which gave me 0% on bal trans until 01/10/05 and 0% on purchases until 01/08/05. I did a SBT to my current account for the majority of my credit limit, and have just purchased a couple of items on the card. I've just remembered Martin's article about not making purchases on…

mbna 2% no maximum letter.
Used to look forward to the 0% offers even with the 2% transfer fee but I reckon now there's no need to keep this card anymore. Handling fees etc....... will remain at 2%. Minimum fee £3 and there will be no maximum. With a 10k credit limit that's a £200 fee! I assume this is just the main MBNA cards and not any affinity…

I forwarded this to the head office at MBNA (they run Virgin's card) having only reconfirmed last week that the fees free lasts the entire 9 month…

This has a £7,600 limit. I spend approx £800-900 per month on this and always pay it off in full each month. I've recently…

Apr / Aer
Can anyone explain how APR can be compared to AER, or are they both the same thing? My credit card debt is on 5.9% for life offer, but I'm wondering whether I should use my overdraft (charged at 8.9% AER) to pay off some of the debt. Cheers Barry.

Minimum Monthly Payment for a stooze arrangement?
Can someone enlighten me with some stoozing info for this newbie? I am looking at the monthly payments during the 0% BT term. Of the cards that I have studied, it appears that only Virgin let you make a £5 minimum monthly payment. All others want typically 2% of the BT amount. Is that correct? Any other cards than Virgin…

BACS Payment - Clearing Time?
Hi, It's the end of my Capital One 0% period and so I transferred the exact remaining balance (totalling £3868 and some pennies) before 9am on 23rd March, from two seperate bank accounts. Now I know there have been some bank holidays, but I assumed the three working days would have been 24th, 29th and 30th, if not also the…

Nationwide moving the goalposts on introductory cashback rate
Hi all Has any other money savers fallen fowl of Nationwide's broken promise that anyone who applied for their cash reward card before the end of Feb would recieve 1% cashback for the first 6 months? I applied online on the 28th Feb and on that day the 1% for 6 months was still being advertised on their website. My card…

Hi Has anyone had experience of offering settlement figures to credit card companies. If successful how much off of the balance would they likely accept as a percentage? How far can this be pushed? Any info relating would be great. Thank you if you respond.

If all card issuers are going to charge 2% on BT
what in everyone's opinion will deferentiate between the various cards on the market? Will this mean that people close the accounts that they once had solely for the purpose of BT???

I argued I had not been advised of this at the time of the transfer and was told it is in my T&C's. I spoke to mananger who waived the charge this time as they should not have allowed me to BT the entire…
