Tescos now charge 2% BT fee too

Just got a letter today advising my Tesco card was £35.00 over the limit. I called and was advised this was the BT fee. I argued I had not been advised of this at the time of the transfer and was told it is in my T&C's.

I spoke to mananger who waived the charge this time as they should not have allowed me to BT the entire miserely 2k credit limit if a charge was to be imposed to take me over the limit. I think this is how stoozing will be curbed from now on..

Maybe we need a thread stating who does not yet charge for BT's

Eventually I found it on the Tesco web site:

Balance Transfers are subject to a transfer fee of 2% (minimum of £2 - maximum of £35)

However it is not included in the Summary Box on their web site which is naughty. Although they say the summary box does not replace the T&C I think anybody who gets hit by it should point this out - you stand a good chance of getting it refunded.
