I have just done a BT from a Morgan Stanley Leeds & Holbeck card with no fee. :j The most I was allowed was 87% of credit limit
(£4350 on a credit limit of £5k).God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -
As far as I know these are still free:
LLoyds TSB Create Card
More Than (run by Accucard, also part of LLoyds TSB)
First Direct and HSBC

And you can add Virgin to the list after Martin's post. Particularly good as it's an SBT card.0

Marbles too I think. 0% for 6 months and BTs are free anytime so far as I know.Nice to save.0

It's been a while since Ive been on these boards... I cooled down my stoozing operations due to a pending mortgage application.
Is it really this bad now? Only the above listed cards not charging BT fees0 -
I jumped on the Capital One 18 month 0% card and I am certain they don't charge for balance transfers, I checked through all the terms and found nothing
Martin probably doesn't show them on his list because he is showing the longest deals available and C1 only offer 6 months at 0%
They used to tell you all the ins and outs of every card on the market at http://www.about-credit-cards.co.ukA cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.0 -
Scottish Widows (Lloyds TSB) do not charge for initial promotional BT. You can also earn 1250 rpoints when you apply. I am not allowed to tell you what an rpoint is, but I suggest that if you google you may be able to find out.0

Virgin do not charge for bt's at the moment, although they mention it in their terms & conditions. Can't use card to transfer free to banks though (for overdrafts etc.), need to use the credit card cheque or cash advance facility, both charging 2% of amount transferred.0

The terms and conditions on the leaflet of the Capital One 18 month 0% deal, do say you will be charged 2% upto a maximum of £50 (condition 10, financial and related particulars).
However, after I applied and spoke to customer services they said they would not be charging me for a balance transfer.0 -
