Barclaycard 2.9% BT - who's excited?
Many people posting seem to think that Barclaycard's 'life of balance' BT offer at 2.9% fixed is unmissable but I disagree. As an investment vehicle it's a dog! Let's say the fund xferred to your Building Soc a/c pays 5.35%p.a. After 40% tax this is 3.21%-forget it! If your tax is 20% you receive 4.28%, netting you 1.38%…

Whats happened to Barclaycard's Gold Card?
I've been a gold card member since I graduated from uni a couple of years ago, however, when I looked on Barclay's website on the credit cards that they now offer, they only seem to have their classic and platinum card? This seems rather busy that's why i've started this thread, just to get an insight. Also, does…

Just logged onto my egg account, and found a screen that told me that if I set up Egg money manager and added one account, they would put a tenner on my Egg Card. I added a more or less defunct ING direct account - now waiting for the cash.

Paying Credit Card Balance from Egg
Sorry - I know this has been answered before but I can't find the posting :'( My question is - can you make a payment from an Egg savings account directly to a credit card? I know that the payment facility on Egg has room for a 'reference' but can this be a card number? Has anyone actually done it? Ta :)

When's a good time of day to phone MBNA?
I've cleared my balance and want to cancel my MBNA card. Well, actually, I don't want to. I want them to think I want to, so they'll give me a 0% offer just to stay. What is a good time of day to do this? In the middle of the night, or in the middle of the day when there's a manager around to approve a special deal?
