Your emptied Club Lloyds account still needs funding
If, like me, you shifted all your 1.5% savings into Marcus, then you probably left the old accounts in a dormant state in case circumstances change in the future. Well, (not 'So,') the banks won't be treating them as dormant so you need to continue funding to avoid the monthly fee. I think there might be some who haven't…

Metro bank
MSE is often praising First Direct Bank regarding it's satisfaction and service, and listing other banks in order of score in that regard. I notice that just very recently First Direct have been placing full page ads in national newspapers trumpeting their topping of a 2018 national poll and showing other banks below them…

Banks preventing fraud
I do not mean this as a "rant". I genuinely want to know the answer to this. I have just spent half an hour going through the following to "verify" that I'm not trying to commit "fraud". My question is can anyone give a real life example of how it prevents "fraud" to do the following (please don't just say it is to prove I…

how to pay a regular subscription in usd from a uk bank
I am considering subscribing to software which requires a monthly payment of 10 US Dollars. The software company tell me that they can directly debit the amount from my debit or credit card, and they don't make any charge. The UK bank (Natwest) says yes that is possible, and the exchange rate would be the bank rate…

Hi all I've had more duplicate visa payments posted on my bank account. Third time since the end of August so formal complaint put into Natwest to ask why this keeps happening. Not huge amounts being taken twice but not the point. Anyone else noticed this again?

Spent money in store, not been debited.
Hope I put this in the right place! The OH and I were at a supermarket yesterday evening and usually when we pay by debit card the money is taken straight away. However, the money wasn’t even debited. The money in her account is the same as her available balance and she’s at a loss. Was she not charged? Might be an…

TSB Compo from April's outage - RESULT!
Over £400, just saying!!:beer::beer: To be fair it was a nightmare for us, plus I had to spend quite a bit of time on the phone to them a few months back to explain how it affected us. So, if you complain in writing, with the correct facts and are patient, it can pay off. :money:

On of the condition is "Instruct us to start a full switch of a current account with at least 2 Direct Debits/Standing Orders using CASS within 30 days of your Bank Account being opened." Is that mean 2 Standing Order is sufficient? No Direct Debit. there is a word "OR" there. Only 2 standing order is fine?

Employers kept my old bank details?!
So I am paid weekly every Friday into my bank account, and in February this year, I advised my employer of new bank details for them to be paid into. They promptly updated this and my wages were then paid into my new account with no issues. Last Friday the 20th they for some reason paid my wages into my old account that I…

Lloyds Group voice recognition and their ever lengthening phone banking
I rarely use phone banking and when I do it is because I quickly need to use the automated system or speak to someone. I called this morning and discover Lloyds group has also gone on the voice recognition bandwagon. Since when has this been on? Do most customers even want this or like me do they skip it each time? I…
