Advice about finding bank accounts needed please :-)
Hi... My son suspects that his dad (my ex-husband) has opened a bank account/s in his name, in order to hide money so that he can continue to claim benefits. My son has found one account by accident, but thinks there are more. He has just turned 18. My question is this...is there any way to find out if this has been done?…

Switching without closing old account (manual switch?)
Hi there Is it possible to still do an ‘old fashioned’ switch when the banks move your payments but don’t close the old account? I want to switch from nationwide to Lloyd’s but want to keep the old nationwide account open. Thanks

Lloyd’s Bank Closed Account
Just looking for some advice. Last week I went online and applied for a Lloyd’s bank classic account. I don’t have a good credit history as I got into debt in the past and ended up bankrupt. Anyway they declined me for the account but said they would give me a basic account - I accepted. Got send debit card and pin, and…

I'm pretty sure it used to (online). I have £2500 in there but my Flexclusive regular saver (also @ 5%) has just matured, so has it gone down to 1%?

Any benefit to maintaining long 'relationship' with bank?
I've had a Santander account since I was young (child saver, current account, student account, 123 current account, etc.). I'm 26 now. This means when the question "how many years have you been with your bank" comes up on the odd occasion, I can state 10 or so years. I am looking to change to one of the Best Bank Accounts,…

Club Lloyds accounts
OH & I have 3 x Club Lloyds accounts (2 x single & 1 joint) With the forthcoming changes regarding Tesco Bank DDs, we will not have enough direct debits to service all 3 accounts. Would I be right in thinking that without the DDs, if we pay in the required £1500/month, we would still be entitled to the "lifestyle benefits"…

Fraudulent Netflix payments, bank says they won't refund?...
Hi, Back in April, I went to log in to my Netflix account and noticed my email/password had been changed. I called Netflix and they explained that the account email address had been changed to a polish email address. They also said that as I couldn't confirm the password (as that had been changed) I wasn't technically the…

First Direct Account
Hiya Just a quick one - have been with these guys before and were amazing customer service wise. Went back to Halifax as all my accounts are there and really like their internet banking. Anyone who uses FD, do they show/list their pending payments yet? That was my main issue. I'd love to go back if they've sorted this in…

Parents have bank account in my name
I don't even know where to post this, so apologies if it is in the wrong name. Me and my partner were recently gifted £20k by her parents, which had subsequently been gifted to her by her boss who sold his company to thank her for her years of service. We were both supposed to be going to see an IFA this week, to assess…

Nationwide FlexPlus Internal Scoring
Any1 know if using a nationwide flex plus account as my main account may mean that I am more likely to get lending from nationwide once my credit files are recovered from bankruptcy ? Would using a basic account with HSBC or Lloyd’s had a better or worse effect?

Is there any real reason to open an account at Barclays Bank?
They offer no switching bonuses nor do they reward loyalty in any way. Plus their savings accounts are very poor, even considering that we live in an age where interest rates are low. It makes me wonder how they still have any customers. Aren't they the most switched out bank along with HSBC?

Is it just me
Whilst logging in to accounts you get asked to input the 3rd,8th,and 10th character from your password. Well I shall admit on a public forum I can't do it in my head, need to use my fingers. Simply can't count and spell in my head at the same time, then to really demonstrate my ineptitude often get it wrong even when I do…

What to do with old £5 notes in 2018
Hello, I've just realised I've been given an old five pound note and can't figure out what my options are? Can I still take to a Post Office? Can I still take to my bank (TSB)? Or do I have to go to the Bank of England to exchange? Thanks,

Overpaid standing order - my rights?
Hope someone can help. I set up a standing order two years ago for my little one’s childcare. I reduced his hours a year and a half ago when I reduced my hours at work but I forgot to change my standing order accordingly! (My fault, I know!) I’ve only just realised that I’ve been overpaying for about 18 months and I’ve…
