Switching without closing old account (manual switch?)

Options
Hi there

Is it possible to still do an ‘old fashioned’ switch when the banks move your payments but don’t close the old account?

I want to switch from nationwide to Lloyd’s but want to keep the old nationwide account open.

Thanks

  • You can request a partial switch, which won't close the account.

You do realise you've no protection against anything going wrong with a partial switch?

Why not just open a Lloyds account, rather than switch into it, and transfer the payment instructions yourself? That way you're in control...especially important if you're asking for DDs to be switched with a partial switch.
