Nationwide FlexPlus Internal Scoring

Options
Any1 know if using a nationwide flex plus account as my main account may mean that I am more likely to get lending from nationwide once my credit files are recovered from bankruptcy ?

Would using a basic account with HSBC or Lloyd’s had a better or worse effect?

If you're currently bankrupt, the application for a FlexPlus account will probably decline on that account. You should qualify for a FlexBasic though, and unlike other basic accounts they do offer contactless, Apple Pay and Android Pay.
  • No - why would a current account dictate what they will loan on a 6-figure mortgage sum?

I would say from my own experience that Nationwide is the better of those banks to use internal scoring to help get loans and credit cards but like anything you will need a clear file and have sufficient income going in and use of the account.
