Co-op Bank nobble telephone opening hours again
Co-op bank are once again reducing telephone banking opening hours, having only recently cut down from 24/7. The new hours will be 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. I can nostalgically remember 24/7 armchair banking (as they called it then) launching in the early 90's, putting the pre-internet Co-op well ahead of the game. I do…

So I've decided to become a bank tart - opening current accounts and switching to new ones to get the switching incentives. I've got a main Santander 123 account and I've set up some new basic current accounts and started the switching process to 3 other banks. They all need some form of minimum pay in to be eligible,…

Problems logging into Natwest
Anyone-else having problems today logging into their online Natwest account? My usual logging in data doesn't work and I'm not sure if it's something wrong with their site, or I should be worried that it's something more sinister (like someone has changed it). Or am I just being paranoid ??? Thanks

Bank switching Standing Orders
When bank switching there is typically a clause stating the you need to have at least two direct debits or standing orders to get any 'reward' for switching. The account I'm considering switching only has 1 direct debit. If I set up a standing order from this account to another account of mine with a different bank would…

Direct Debit not moved across to new bank
Hi all, My husband is just about to transfer our dental care to another dentist from one we’ve been with for a few years. It was a…

Banks - what is needed to get interest?
Hi All, I'm just going through my various bank accounts and, although I am up to speed on how much needs to be paid in each month, I'm not sure if any of them still need direct debits. Advice after being scammed
I'd like some advice about where I stand after falling victim to a nifty email scam. I've been having some building works done recently, and dealing with my builder primarily through email. They've sent their invoices and payment details through email, and I've been paying as we've gone along and letting them know via…

Just figuring out which account to leave and I'm sure someone can answer this easily.. Why is my TSB Classic Plus account (opened a year ago I think) only giving me interest on £1500 in it, and not any contactless cashback or anything else? They've moved the goalposts so much I can't remember what it was giving when I…
