First Direct question
When joining First Direct, to qualify for the £100 switch, they say you have to pay in £1000 within 3 months, does that mean you can pay in £1000 just once and then withdraw it or do you have to keep a balance of £1000 as well? To qualify for the FAREWELL £100, it says you have to pay in £1000 for six months, again can you…

Time for cash paid in at bank to clear own account?
How long does cash paid in to your own account at a bank take to clear before it can be accessed? I need to pay in £1000 in cash to subsequently pay for an item on a debit card as the retailer places a surcharge for cash and credit cards (never heard of a surcharge for cash before but there you go) Thanks

Confused over CoOp switch
I was a Co-op banker last year. I switched to them in 2015 for the incentive. I left 6 months ago to join M&S for the switch incentive. £5 Only ATMs
Does anyone know if all the ATMs which only dispensed £5 notes have been removed? I don't think they were very numerous, but there was one next to my local station for some years, and I found it very useful. Now it's been replaced by a normal ATM which just gives tens and twenties.
