Hi,
Can I switch bank accounts at different points during my degree? Like for example being at Lloyds for Year 1 of my uni studies then switching to Santander in Year 2 of my studies and then Natwest for Year 3?
Many thanks

I think you can only have one student account, so i would think the only way this would work is the close the student account before you move banks, but there is no guarantee you will be able to open a new account if your credit file still shows a student account/

You can switch but there is no guarantee that the new bank will match any overdraft facility.0

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies, much helpful!
Would I be able to claim their respectable freebies?
Many thanks0 -
My son had a Lloyds and a Co-op student on the go at the same time without any problem. Didn't switch, just opened the second one a year after the first.Ethical moneysaver0

It will depend - some freebies might only be available to freshers.0
