Best bank?
This is so depressing. A while ago I asked this question and the answers mostly dwelt on the Coop . . . . .. We live in France but a UK bank account is useful. However, we have banked with Barclays since the late 50's - honest! Recently they have been awful and after their diabolical treatment of us after we were robbed we…

Out of date bank draft
Ahhhh I just posted this twice but it doesnt seem to be working. I hope this is in the right area anyway. So I got issued a bank draft for £500 in 2002 after HSBC shut my account. This was issued by a Sheffield branch of the bank. I lost the draft and never cashed it and have just located it in my house. I have called HSBC…

Can you pay your TSB money in at Lloyds?
Our Lloyds TSB changed to a Lloyds, or at least that's what the big banner at the top of the building now reads. We have no TSB in our town. Just a question as to whether you can pay your TSB money (money for your TSB account) in at a Lloyds branch, or is this not possible?

Ulster Bank - missing transactions
Anyone else experiencing problems with Ulster Bank? I made two debit card payments on Thursday, usually my available balance updates instantly but there's no sign of these transactions. Transferring money from a Mastercard Virtual Account to a normal Bank account.
I have just cashed-out £15 from iPoll. As they don't do Paypal (I asked) but instead offer a range of other options including 'Mastercard Virtual Account'. I decided to opt for the MVA as my cash-out method. I know that I can use this virtual card to purchase goods online but not off-line. What I want to know is, is it…

Debit card preauthorisation
I never use a debit card when a preauth is necessary, but I'm wondering who actually has control of the funds when money has been held from someone's account. We sometimes have preauth issues at work, and every CS person we speak to always says we need to speak to someone else, or send a fax, or the customer needs to send…

Overseas: want to close UK bank account
Hi All, I'm overseas and had left a UK bank account open with Santander, with a DD to pay off an outstanding debt.
