Royal bank of Scotland

Was in my bank the other day and i must say it was such a depressing bank to be in staffed by 3 women none of which looked happy, bleak decor. I am seriously thinking of switching from them, can anyone give me a good reason not to switch from RBS

thanks

All Banks Are depressing and normally staffed by robots, so unless you find a bank that only opens on a Saturday night where the staff are allowed to get drunk you might as well stay at RBS .

How many times are you in a branch?

You're probably wiser choosing a bank based on the design of their debit card

What perks can you get staying?

What perks can you get elsewhere?

    Let that answer your question.

Unfortunately, all the really smart bank branches get turned into restaurants.

The 'Wolseley' on London's Piccadilly used to be a branch of Barclays Bank, providing banking services on the grandest scale imaginable.

Sorry, they don't make banks like this any more!

I reckon they've stopped spending money on their branches in England, my local branch is so tatty, the external ATMs are often out of service. Perhaps so few customers use branches these days they're spending the budget elsewhere.

The Scottish ones are tatty too.

It's just a tarnished brand with issues week in and out.
I'm sure it's not nice for the staff working in branch either.

I'm surprised that most banks are still open during the week and not started to reduce the amount of days they are open, or at least change their hours to something like 10am - 6pm.

I can't remember the last time I visited a branch and wanted to speak to someone.
  • I am not concerned about the decor on lloyds / natwest / co-op / ybs / other financial institution but the services they offer.

In contrast, if a branch appeared to be particularly palacial, I think the shareholders and customers should ask "Why is money being wasted on this expensive branch decor?"

I don't expect bank staff to work out of a shipping container but they should work in surroundings in keeping with any modern office which deals with the public.
