An LPA was registered with the Office of Public Guardian back in Jan 2009, for me to the be in charge/control of my 86 year old father's financial affairs. Since then, have opened two bank accounts, a joint account with…

I have a standard current account with RBS - usual payments in direct debits etc. It used to pay about 0.5% interest and now it's more like 0.0000000001%. For the past few weeks they have constantly telephoned me and suggested I put my money into a savings transfer account with 2% interest. They said it works like this:…

Banking complaints story
This is on the BBC website today http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15077344. When Martin next appears on the BBC perhaps he could suggest that rather than lazily regurgitating a press release they could do a bit of analysis first. The raw numbers of complaints are meaningless without knowing how many customers each…

Thieves attempted a 'cash trapping' fraud on me at an ATM yesterday......BEWARE!
It was a Post Office bank machine (I think the actual machine belongs to Bank of Ireland?), but I suppose that a different version of the device could be made for any bank machine. Anyway.... Until now I'd never heard of 'cash trapping' in relation to ATM fraud so I'm starting this thread to increase awareness. Here's what…
