Smile - Switching from HSBC
I am just going through the process of applying for a Smile current account, to change over from my HSBC account in a couple of months time. Smile have mailed me back saying that they can offer me the 'SmileMore' account which is not the account I was looking as you pay £7.50 for a host of benefits that I not intend to…

A&L Credit/Debit
Are you OK for making internal transfers on the same day. I transferred money from my online saver account to my nominated account which is my premier account but want to transfer it from there to my new premier plus account, as I can't transfer it direct from my online saver account. I'm sure I'm ok to do it, but getting…

Got A level results on August 18th. Tried to open Natwest student account with the 'come on' of a free 5 year rail card that day. Started uni on September 16th. Natwest wrote on September 19th telling me that UCAS wouldn't confirm I was a student. I sent them all the requested paperwork. Today (Oct 8th) they say they never…

Charity Current Accounts
I have recently been appointed Treasurer of my son's Scout group (Oh the joys of parenthood) and the first thing that I have noticed is that the current account has not been overdrawn in 4 years, and no interest had been paid by Lloyds. Every penny is vital to us. Is there an account that will pay interest? Any help…

Hi, I'm switching my account from the Woolwich to A&L. Thing is, the Woolwich account is a dual account held by me and my husband, though he never uses it. Abbey 6% Current Account
Hello I saw a big banner in a brach of Abbey that was advertising their new interest rate and went in for a chat. It looks like you get 6% on the first £1000 in your account, provided you pay in £1000/month. However the strange bit is that you only get the accumulated interest after being with them for 12 months, until…
