A & L switching queries (problems switching from dual to single account)

Hi,
I'm switching my account from the Woolwich to A&L. Thing is, the Woolwich account is a dual account held by me and my husband, though he never uses it. So, when I signed up to their switching service, I get a letter back from A&L forwarding another letter from the Woolwich, who say they can't pass on a list of all my direct debits. Now, I can get the list of DDs that I want from my internet banking, so that isn't really an issue, but how do I set up all the DDs from one bank to the other?
Tried ringing A&L switching service this morning but was on hold for over 15 minutes listening to the most depressing hold music I have ever heard.
Didn't Martin set up some sort of email address for info relating to A&L switching? Can anyone remember it?

You cannot 'set up all the DDs from one bank to the other'. If you do it yourself, you should contact each provider and change details of your DD. Than you can cancell the old DD online.0
