Do Fit (sick) notes change the type of benefits one receives?
Hi, I am currently on Universal Credit. If I obtain a sick note, does this kick me onto ESA? Does it make a difference if the fit note says I can only do particular types of work rather than no work? Would I still be put on ESA (this would be undesirable since ESA doesn't get the £20 uplift).

Anyone with knowledge of Personal Injury Benefit?
Hi, this is a of a grim post, but I'm trying to plan for early retirement, so I have to ask. In 2008, my husband (who worked for the NHS) retired on ill health grounds. He'd paid into the pension since the 1980's and was very much part of the 'old scheme' if you like. Because of the nature of his retirement, he is also in…

I'm named as a beneficiary in my mum's will which, if we went through probate with her will as it stands, would mean I would stand to inherit in excess of £400,000.
