New Year’s Eve is around the corner, and for many of us, it’s the big question: how will you be ringing in 2026? Whether you’re planning a night out on the town, hosting a cosy gathering, or keeping things low-key, everyone has their own way of celebrating. Some people love the buzz of fireworks and parties, while others…
With the festive season in full swing, many of us are feeling the pinch of rising costs – but others might be finding ways to cut back or keep things steady. There's already a lot of people driving a fully electric or hybrid(s) car in the UK. But for those drivers that haven't already made the change, there can be reluctance. 'Range anxiety', lack of charging infrastructure in your area and concerns about future changes like pay-per-mile which is currently in consultation may…
Noticed what looks like salty deposits on our living room wall near the window. It's literally the only place in the whole of the living room that has this. More info... Our living room is a damp area. 2015 we had this treated. The walls were taken back to brick, Soverign products were used. Chemical washes, tanking slurry…

Big companies think they can simply make up rules, treat customers badly and get away with it. They really are…
I have about 5k in cash in my stocks and shares ISA I would like to transfer to a cash ISA and retain the tax break. I also have stocks and shares in the same ISA. Can you go to a new provider of a cash ISA and request the cash only to be transferred into the account? Thanks.
Are AEGON worse than others for getting stuff done? A cash-based transfer to a SIPP is stalled, coupled with some fobbing-off blame-shifting to the receiving party. Frankly, I believe the latter. Basic admin at AEGON is also tortuously slow. I've seldom been impressed, however they appear to be getting worse. A previous…
Just a quick question. Just storing out paperwork, will, getting ducks in a line, etc. Notice the date is a little wrong in terms of the extra 1 in front of the 13 because the pen didn't work first time, didn't think much of it, but now I do. It is worth doing this again, or will it not make a difference?

Many mortgage lenders are cutting tracker and variable rates for existing customers as the dust settles on the Bank of England's decision to cut the base rate from 4% to 3.75% just days ago. If you're on one of these types of mortgages, here's what's happening to your rate.
Octopus Energy customers on fixed tariffs WILL see the proposed '£150 energy saving' announced in the Autumn Budget passed on to their bills, the provider has announced. Martin Lewis has been lobbying the Government in recent weeks to ensure the savings aren't just applied to those on standard variable tariffs, but to all fixes too.
