So initially we planned on getting married October 2015, but we'd like to start a family pretty soon but want to be married first so have brought the wedding forward to this year. So far we have;

Booked the venue (deposit paid)
Decided on menu/drinks package
Decided on a theme
Booked registrar
Booked DJ
Booked photographer (deposit paid)
Discussed cake with cake maker
Discussed flowers with florist
Bought favour boxes
Bought invitations
Chosen my bridesmaids (only have 2 little ones)
My lovely sister in law has offered to do my hair for free and she's a brilliant hairdresser so I'm very pleased!
OH has chosen his Dad to be his best man so that's that!

What we need to do;

Give notice - apt booked 28th March.
Go dress shopping! - been and almost 99% sure on a dress
Buy the rings
Buy the bridesmaids outfits and accessories - found 2 dresses I love for the girls.
[STRIKE]OH needs to decide who he's having for his groomsmen[/STRIKE]
Buy favours for boxes
Do a seating plan and place cards
OH needs to sort out his suit hire/groomsmen suit hire
We need to sort a honeymoon (this may come a while after due to finances)
Need to organise insurance
Need to choose music for ceremony
Need to find someone to do my [STRIKE]hair[/STRIKE] and make up

ETA - if anyone sees something missing off the list PLEASE let me know!!!

    Hello and welcome *waves frantically!!!* if you think of anything I haven't done please feel free to kick my butt!!! And if there's anything you fancy chatting about I'm happy to chat as my RL friends don't seem too interested...have you got your dress already? I'm torn between styles, was originally ball gown but our venue is small and I would look ridiculous, so then a line style, but then I saw sheath style and they're utterly gorgeous but I have fat love handles and don't want to look like a lumpy pig waddling down the aisle! x

    Firstly, I'm sure you won't look like a lumpy pig :p

    Secondly, the best thing to do is go to a dress shop and try on all the different styles that take your fancy, you might be surprised as to what suits you. I thought I wanted something really slimline, but when I went to the shop I spotted a huge ball gown that I just had to try on - I bought it straightaway and didn't even bother trying any other dresses on! So stay open-minded because you just never know what you'll fall in love with!

    Oh I am definitely open minded! I've got an apt booked for this sat morning with a wedding warehouse so will spend the full 2 hours trying on different dresses. I hate shopping but inside my bride is screaming excitedly! x

    I'm in Cumbria, where are you? Has the dress been kept at the shop? See I wouldn't trust myself with my dress for that long! What sort of dress did you choose? x
