Happy birthday Valli xx
Thanks for the lists, ladies, I'm in. Although this morning I've been to Aldi and had a study session so I've not started yet - although I did wash up after brekkie.
So my homework is done and printed ready for Wednesday. I think I've answered the questions, albeit rather succinctly. No doubt she will advise if I need to do more. I spent so many years writing business summaries where less is more that I tend to use as few words as possible.
Just having a cuppa now - it feels decidedly chilly here today, possibly because I've been sat at my desk... Will start to potter soon which will warm me up. Fridge first, then I have some kiddie-clutter to move out of my kitchen and back to their own spaces...
DS go-kart has gone, yippee! ££s for him, and a big chunk of space by my desk freed up for me.
Hugs to CY and hope you can get home soon xxxBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I've had a potter around since my last post:
- All the dailies (except dishes, I'll do them after lunch and I've prepared tea) done
- DD's bed was made (could have sworn it wasn't so she must have made it when she cleaned her teeth) so I just put a few bits away and rejigged the top of her chest of drawers so I could make some space for her stack of CDs which were just sitting on the side.
- Wiped all the windows upstairs over as they were wet along the bottom with condensation, autumn is definitely here! That'll now be added to the dailies list.
- Rejigged DD's books in the livingroom to make some room for 3 new ones from the weekend
- Rejigged the bits on the bookcases as well, sorted out things that should be upstairs (put them into the clean laundry baskets to go upstairs), found a box to put all the batteries/ink cartridges which need to be recycled in until I remember to take them to Mr A with me and made sure there was nothing lurking on top of any of the books.
- Rejigged the storage shelves where I keep tissues, candles and matches. Now I can see what I have and I've added stuff to my shopping lists
- Lit some jar candles downstairs. I'm hoping they'll make the house smell sweeter (although I can't smell a thing right now), and it'll use up some more of the citrus summer scented ones before I put my Halloween ones (spiced pumpkin pie I think they are) next week. I've had these ones for 2 summers now and still not quite half way through them The Halloween ones I got last year, and I have berry ones for when Advent starts which I've also had a while I think I need to get another scent for Spring into Summer...but not sure what as I'm not keen on a lot of the ones I've smelt while out and about.
- Wash load is on, and will be mainly going in the drier. Going to put the maiden up in the kitchen to help speed up the drying process of stuff that can't go in the drier. I doubt Zack will be wanting to go outside much today due to the rain :rotfl:
Now it's time for me to think about getting some lunch, and preparing tea. We're having a roast, so I'm going to do as much as possible now so I can just put it on about 4.30pm so we can eat before 6pm. We need to get back into that habit now school has started again, as we need to start going to bed earlier, rather than sitting up watching TV until all hours Ooo, I'm due some more meds as well :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Afternoon all,
Happy Birthday Valli x
I'm in this week, thanks for the lists x
Dark and damp day here, have had to have the TD on for the first time in ages.
Shopping done and put away.
All dailies done, going to clean the sink and bin shortly.
Floors will be done before bed!! I will mop my way out of the kitchen!!
Chilli for tea, so once the mince is defrosted will get on with that.
At work for the next 3 days so level 1 only, but will try and add extras in.
See you soon x0 -
Kitchen sorted, plus a chunk of "stuff" from DR removed - 3 bin bags for charity collection on Wednesday and some other bits my mum might want have been moved into the space that was occupied by aforementioned go-kart I will have that space back eventually.
I put the heating on for a brief blast - brr - as I'm drying the laundry indoors today. Also made a pot of soup from onions found in bottom of fridge - which has all been organised now. I'm going to make a chicken traybake for dinner and use up odds and ends of mushrooms, pepper, aubergine too.
Can't believe it's almost 2 already! I'll have another hhc upstairs in a bit, then maybe a bit of time reading before the school run.Bossymoo

Rang the doctors, no appointments available to book so I have to ring back at 8am to get one of the "on the day" slots. Barely moved off the Flylady sofa I have shuffled some money around, and bought a few bits online for the kiddies - namely dressing gowns and new winter boots for DD.
Snuggled under a blanket - it is rather chilly here. School run in an hour and MiL coming round for a brew... xMFW

Managed to flush a bit of the shower drain down the loo when I emptied the bucket of water. Ooops. Shower drain seems to work fine without it, so that's a bit of unnescessary gibble decluttered, I suppose.
Superking ready for new lodger. Good.
Kelpie's having a bit of a rest day after a tiring weekend. He's currently chewing one of his blankets. He's a very gentle chewer and only has a go at his own bedding, rather thoughtfully, so I haven't got the heart to tell him to stop. All of the dog blankets now have Kelpie jaw-shaped holes in them. Hope LittleyDog and Poppet are having a good day.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi all
Happy Birthday Valli xxx
Healing vibes Atypical, strict instructions to stay on the flylady sofa my love.
Welcome Meekie I live with a hubby and two teenage boys and I have given up on the idea of them doing much around the house. I know others will disagree but its not worth the hassle, I just do most of it myself and accept that's the way that it is.
Well done on the run Raphael.
Up early, kitchen units, tiles and worktops properly cleaned, floor washed, stew in sc, bathroom swished and swiped. Oh and I have run around the house with the carpet sweeper . I will do at least one more task in the kitchen before the day is done.
Paid stuff no. 1 finished, on with paid stuff no. 2. I have put the little heater on in the office, its cold in here!
Right - I should be working.0 -
Thanks HB, Poppet and LittleyDog having a good day, mostly chilling while I do the paid stuff. They've just woken for a chew. Just had a call that Poppet starts her socialisation classes on Thursday so I suppose I'd best get her used to a lead, she hates her collar!Spend less now, work less later.0
