Goal post moved again for a particular group/grade of employees in the 'organisation' They are making this up as they go along  Idiot In Charge has to attend a meeting tomorrow maybe things will be clearer. Concerned doesnt cut it - last week we were told we were very 'specialised' so it would be difficult to move us and this week they are axing posts with impunity.............

Once it is all settled I will look at escape route plan again. For the moment I will continue to chip away at debt everyday and think positively!

    Morning Igamogam,
Just had a quick catch up - the work situation sounds horrendous. Any progress/news yet? Early retirement sounds like a good escape route :) if you can plan it!
Hope you are managing to find time to relax on beach walks and in the garden.

Hadnt realised how long I had been away..............job secured .Drop in salary but current is protected for 3 years.......escape route being planned which is dependent on getting the debt down/cleared in that time. Beach walks a plenty and busy in the garden. Enjoying life a little more despite it all. :)

    Hi Igamogam,
So glad job is secure for now, and lovely to hear you are enjoying time where it matters most - on the beach and in garden.
Haven't been able to much recently as so busy with work, but I am there most of the time in my virutal reality :)

Oooh been away a long time again............wondering if I need this place so much these days :( I have had a wobbly think about it before and decided to stick with it as I was ( is?0 good to see all my thoughts in one place.........just is still out

NOA - hope life is being good - health and money wise

Brizzle - yep a bit of RL creeping in but in a good way. the IiC is still the Iic but on a much reduced salary after the 'reorganisation' which turned to be a huge game of chess with some very weird outcomes........however I still have a job on a guaranteed salary for next 3 or 4 year after which I will reassess - if finances allow I will start to reduce hours ...or take early retirement. The latter will mean the debt will have to have gone or very nearly..............hmmmm looks like I will be round here for a bit longer then ;)

Flying By - nice to 'see' you. I do wonder sometimes who reads and lurks :rotfl:

Long holiday started here - lots of things planned. Feeling good health wise and its the first time in more years than I care to remember that I havent stumbled to this point in the year and felt/needed 2 weeks to recover and just begin to think straight - brain fog gone and energy levels good :j and I am 2 stone lighter :j :j

Big piece of news money wise - started researching the whole PPI thing...........we have had in the past about 12K refunded to us from missold endowment and PPI on mortgage and I honestly thought that would be it but I started looking at CC's and do know I had paid PPI on a couple but waaaay back so thought it was too late - no info/records etc. WRONG!!!!!! Got 2.5k back from a Marks card from the 1980's and I have claims out on another 4 old cards............worth a phone call:money:

Have a wonderful summer break....ridiculously pleased re your positive health...touches wood for you. :)
