What small DFW things will you be doing this week? WC 26/6

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning :) woken up to a beautiful day :) Yesterday I decided I just have to get my head around the fact that my service is being managed terribly, if I can do that I'll be able to cope with it! Going to try to reduce contact with my managers for this week!

    Small things:

    * quick shower - tie hair back ;)
    * lo for lunch for me
*[STRIKE] I didn't make madam's lunch last night so need to do that in a minute[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]going to make a cake in a minute to use up raspberries. Will cook some goujans while the oven is on ;)[/STRIKE]
    * lay out in the sun at lunch time listening to my audio book
    * call school to check what time the meeting is tonight
    * water/feed plants
    * hoping to join the running group tonight but will depend on what time the meeting finishes
    * pot on a couple of plants

Ok that'll do. Have a great day guys x

Hi determined love your thoughts on how to manage work. I often have the same process. Definitely works. Lovely day here too. I will:

Get something from freezer for tea
Drop off two parcels for posting for refunds
Walk to town and back saving on parking and getting some exercise
Go to that well known furniture store and just get the 3 things in my list. Measure something first before I go so I know it's the right one
Load of washing out before I go out
    Quick tidy round
    Check banking and surveys
Freeze half the cake I make yesterday with some ripe bananas
Make biscuits with the last ripe banana tonight whilst oven is on
Shower and let hair dry naturally

    Enjoy your day folks.

    Hi all,
Have got off to a reasonable start to the money-saving week this needs to be:
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Laundry done overnight on cheap tariff, also 2 quick 30 mins at 30 degrees loads. All dry for free already outside on the whirlygig.
*Did rubber chicken. Roast last night, enough for same again tonight, some frozen with l/o gravy for basis of a stew at some point. Enough for curry too, when I've got some root ginger.
    *Tomorrow's packed lunch made.
    *Entered 2 competitions.
    *Sold a small ebay item.
*Cut 2 courgettes & a few braod beans.
*Fed & watered all the veg.
*Moved a courgette plant to a sunnier spot.
*Hoed & weeded a bed ready to plant out cabbages - will be finishing this in the next 20 mins.
*Bit of present knitting in my lunch hour.
*Fed sourdough jar ready to bake a loaf tomorrow.
*Refilled all our tiny plastic snack boxes with raisins.
*Started rounding up all the receipts, notes, etc, I need tomorrow which is my Big Budget Day.
*Nobbled mr f to tell me the exact cost of campsite booking......all this nice weather is giving us tentitis!
*Fill a vase with flowers from the garden - fragrant, pretty & free.
Wishing everyone a peaceful & productive Monday.

    Afternoon all :)
Got off to quite a good start :)

Washed hair and allowed to dry naturally
Made sausage casserole for dinner first thing, when it was still cool and energy levels were high. I only need to cook some potatoes and veg to go with it, and warm it up. Plus there will be enough for another meal :D
Went to sales unit and changed stock, still need to unload the stuff I brought back and put it away though!
Picked last few broad beans and mangetout, cleared ground and replanted with leek seedlings :)
Summer pruned my precious cordon fruit trees, and watered them too - there were a few cherries to pick, as well :D
    A few surveys for onepoll

    Still to do:
Find or adapt a recipe and make strawberry muffins with last of strawberries
    Check banks

    Evening all,

-Reading another free book passed on from a family member
-picked up a great jigsaw for £1 from the charity shop (we are addicted:o and a new top for me 99p

Managed it all apart from the returns and biscuits. Did make DH some enchiladas things for work tonight though and the smalls had omelette for tea. DH and I didn't bother as we weren't overly hungry, another meal from the plan saved.

I only bought the 3 things from the furniture shop :A also did a few things from annoying things list. Worked most of tonight, with a bit more to do tomorrow. Does mean I'll claim a day back though ;)
