BB Thanks to your post, I've now redone my freezer inventory and found in there some rhubarb that I can make into a crumble tomorrow
I have decided it's time to stop referring to my wife as my "OH" on here and start referring to her as my "DW". It's not like I'm exactly "in the closet" on the interweb or in the real world is it?!Just managed to pinch punch my son without him suspecting. Horray! It did trigger a crazy 5 minutes of who was allowed to do who under the no touch backs ruling.Trying to decide whether to go to the British Museum today or not. DS is doing Greeks as the overall learning theme this term and it is on the list of suggested outings. We could get there using 1 bus from checking. But it may be very busy because of bank holiday. Will weigh it up. If we do go it will be packed lunches etc obviously.
It is grey, cold and windy here today. OH has lit the stove already, once the living room is toasty we will open the door to let the heat spread through the rest of the house to take the edge off.

Hi again folks
I have to say I'm already picking up lots of tips. I'd never heard of bounts before, but am quite active and sporty so that could work for me. I've signed up. Any advice to get the most out of it? I've also signed up for the Postcode Lottery which was also news to me I'm also going to have a good look around the house for things I might be able to sell that we don't use anymore. We have an attic full of things we never bring down. I do miss some of those things, but by no means all, so that's my next target in the house to sort out.
Has anyone tried The Girl Called Jack recipes? We've been doing those for a while, and they're very good. Main meals for about five days for four cost us about £20. Tasty stuff
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes

In RL I generally refer to OH as my partner and some people have wrongly assumed that means my parntner is the same sex as me, it doesn't bother me at all and some times it has altertered how people interact with me, but that is their problem. Any ideas on how to discribe the OH, boyfriend sounds like we are a new couple, we have been together nearly 20 years, also I'm bit old for a boyfriend
In real life I call her my wife or my missus, I figured I should make life in cyber-space mirror life in reality.
As for alternatives to "boyfriend" erm....looked up some synonyms. Any of these appeal? :rotfl:
"lover, sweetheart, loved one, love, beloved, darling, dearest, young man, man friend, man, escort, suitor, wooer, admirer, worshipper, follower; partner, significant other, live-in lover, cohabitee, common-law husband, fianc!; the love of one's life, the apple of one's eye, the object of one's affections; inamorato; jong; fella, baby, date, flame, fancy man, toy boy, sugar daddy; boyf; squeeze; intended; swain; beau, steady; gallant, paramour, leman; spouse"

Think my favorite is inamorato :rotfl:Fashion on a ration 2024 66/66 coupons remaining

:rotfl: You ladies make me laugh. I always refer to my 'OH' as hubby but he's always been OH on here because I started this DFW-mission before we were married
I remember someone said something to me about his dad's partner... 'He' this and he that. And I thought to myself 'I'm sure his dad had a girlfriend...'...turns out he meant his business partner!!
Small thing victory in our house today - had a double wardrobe in front of a plug with adapter always on. Got in behind it today and turned it off :T0 -

I like 'young man' and 'escort' :rotfl:Not giving up

What are you lot like :rotfl::rotfl: OH has let it be known he wishes to be known as either 'young man'. 'toy boy' or 'jong' from now on :rotfl::rotfl:
Not a great deal done again today
Went to a couple of car boot sales this morning, bought a few bits, including a nice box of 6 soaps, unopened of course. Found a £10 off a £40 shop at Joules inside (the soaps must have come from there). There is no date on it, and my DD shops there, so I will pass that on to her. That was a nice surprise - 6 nice soaps for 50p was quite good I think, even without that
Apart from that:
All HM meals from stores
Made Thai themed pork burgers using up some YS minced pork from the freezer (mix the pork with a small chopped red onion and a couple of tablespoons of Thai curry paste, then form into burgers if anyone is interested). Had these with burger buns, salad, chilli jam, coriander mayo and a few tortilla chip things left over from when we had chilli the other night. Made a nice meal, which is just as well, as there is enough for the same again either tomorrow or the next day
Dog walks
No heating on downstairs (though the wood burner is alight now as it was so cold (though no hail yet today)
Listed a few more bits on ebay 2 items have watchers
Froze the remains of the soup I made a couple of days ago - we have had it twice, but don't absolutely love it But when we fancy soup again, we will be pleased to see it
Had to throw away a few bits of salad leaves that had gone brown at the bottom of the bag Wish it would warm up so that our own salad leaves would hurry up and grow! Also had to throw out the dregs of a tub of dried milk powder whose use by date was somewhen in 2013 It had seemed ok, and I have been ploughing through it for cooking and in my porridge but it has now developed a not very nice smell, so into the bin with it!
Watered the plants in the plastic mini greenhouse
Checked FPL, no surveys today.
Still need to wrap a birthday present, do a freezer inventory and grovel about in the loft / eaves cupboard to find some more bits to ebay and new things to take to my sales unit next week. Wonder which of those will get done?
Update:
Did the freezer inventory!

I love this :rotfl: years ago when DH and I first got together I know that many saw our relationship as fleeting and that he was my "sugar daddy" due to the 17 year age gap - I would like to think we've silenced those critics as it's our 24th wedding anniversary this year. I always refer to him as DH even on those days when he's less of a darling and more of pain in the bum :rotfl: and daren't even ask what he'd like me to call him :rotfl:
