    Hi all

    Funny day. Paid stuff till 1 then straight to a meeting at job no. 2 for an hour. DS needed a lift home from work so I did a bit more paid stuff in the library rather than drive home and go back.

    DH been home all day, he had to cancel the job he was supposed to do because of the frost. Am I allowed to feel a tiny bit resentful that he was still in bed at 9am?

    I have been trying to avoid going on the internet at bedtime and rather than reading I have been listening to Radio 4 plays or podcasts. Anyone got any tips for free audiobooks that I can download?

    Right - more paid stuff to do - oh joy!

    Hi Yorkshirelass - have you heard of librivox?https://librivox.org/ It's volunteers reading out the classics/books free in the public domain. Usually American (which can be a bit weird listening to Jane Austen etc) but ok really. :)

    Also if you ‘buy’ a free kindle book you can upgrade to the audible book cheaper than just buying an audible book itself… So download a free,say, Pride and Prejudice and you can then get the audible version for £2.99 rather than the usual £7.99 or whatever it is.

    Hello

    My small things today

    1. Two hours of walking on various errands
    2. Found 6p roadkill
    3. Day 2 of eating up weekend work event leftovers, tonight, a lovely home made courgette and mint soup. Easily enough food in for another two days of leftovers too!
    4. Tumble drier was fitted with a new safety modified part today for free, also glad it's done as it's been a worry
    5. Stretched my travel budget by only using the minimum of buses and walking. Pushes my travel costs to £3 per day max
    6. Had a booking come in, another £100 earned
    7. Took coffee out in a travel mug
    8. OH took the hem up on a pair of trousers for DS
    9. Warmth from blankets whilst watching TV.
    10. Took snacks from home for the school run.

    All told a good day.

    Morning LPP and all who follow

    Super frosty here today in Sunny south London. I was amazed to see it was colder down here than up in Scotland last night. Both kids have colds, lots of sneezing. Hopefully I escape it!

    Am going to try and push a bit more at the CC this morning based on food shopping savings.

    BLD from stores today again.

    Morning all

    Well yesterday didn't go according to plan. Was feeling very anxious and stressed out in work, which is unusual these days. Went to Crossfit and had a full on panic attack mid-workout. Everyone very kind and worried about me. I literally burst into tears and had to sit in reception. Went straight home instead of back to work.

    OH very sweetly took me out for some dinner to cheer me up but it wasn't cheap.

    Still feeling unwell today. I really wish that I was at home in bed. I've booked myself into the gym again at lunchtime (getting back on the horse and all that, although it wasn't the workout that caused it). I don't have to do the workout in open gym though, I can just practice things I like if I want to.

    That all said, here's today's plan:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Gym at lunchtime - nope, too many urgent emails
    • Charge phone in work
    • Try to be calm
    • Payday so do monthly budget with OH tonight
    • No drinkies
    • Crochet
    • Early night
    Have a good one all

    Clf, sorry to hear that you had a tough day yesterday. Glad everyone looked after you.

    Bob, £800 wow your signature is looking fab :)

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

    Todays list
    * Check banking as its dh's payday :)Yay!! :T Last week when I found an error on my spreadsheet I was gutted as it meant I wasn't going to be able to hit a target I'd set myself, Today dh's expenses have been paid earlier then usual, the cashback I'd requested was paid and an item I was giving to a friend that the kids had grown out of, she's given me £50 for it, she wouldn't let me just give it to her :) That means I hit my target with £3.76 to spare! :)
    * Kids had free breakfast at school :)
    * Gym class done to make the most of my membership :)
    * Clean kitchen using stardrops
    * Hoover round
    * Look for change as the kids have school fete after school :( bah humbug! Have told them they can buy what they want but its coming from their money not mine.
    * Washing on a quick 30 degree wash :)
    * Radiator shuffle
    * No heating on til after we are all home tonight, I've got extra jumper and a scarf on for now
    * Take food out of the freezer for tomorrow & update list :)
    * Shower continue using open lotions and potions and leave hair to dry naturally
    * All meals from stores, leftover turkey curry tonight :)
    ** Also ironed only what was needed and switched off on the last item :)

    Road kill is picking up money that's been dropped on the floor and I believe wombling is the same or maybe getting other items that people have discarded :)
