Apparently that is too short to post so...
'Tis all a chequerboard of nights and days,
Where Destiny, with men for pieces plays,
Hither and thither moves and mates and slays,
And one by one back in the closet lays.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
A bit of fun, yes but at the same time pointless as no one can predict the direction of the FTSE.0

Lots of poor results from larger caps. Expect to see more financial engineering exposed akin to Tesco's. While Glaxo's problems are currently centred in China. I suspect that this business model is also in decline.
Russia, Ukraine, Middle East , Hong Kong. Not conducive to global trade.
Xmas. Around 6100 - 6200.0 -
6200 at the end of December as a few waves from this year's events wash over the FTSE. My unprofessional, based-on-almost-nothing impression is that Christmas is no longer the boost it used to be.
6500 again around April.
Edit: then again, I'm watching the GBP plummet today! o_OQ: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
Literally no idea what FTSE will do, if I did then I'd change my exposure to it up or down to take advantage!Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Blackwhite bellyfeel double plus good...0

ftse in fee fall
This is not the Daily Mail. There is no indication that a couple of days of minor drops is freefall.
It goes up and down. That is how it works. A drop from the 69xx to 64xx is not even classed as a correction, let alone a crash. it could go on to be classed as either of those and to be honest, it wouldnt be a bad thing for a correction or minor crash. However, come back later when the drop is really a free fall.
Oh my guess... I wont guess. I have been through too many crashes and corrections to know that you cant guess when or how much growth periods or loss periods will be.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). With the same world events in play as yesterday the index is up over 50 points.
Nothing as irrational as markets.
There appears to be a few threads like this recently. I wonder how many people have opened a S&S ISA chasing returns above cash and who have been spoilt by the last 4-5 years returns, assuming that indices only move in one direction?
When a store has a sale you buy as you achieve greater value, when the markets decline you should do the same.0
