I personally feel the tone of the first message wasn't that great, I was looking forward to seeing what ideas people had, but I get that you were trying to help, must be tough love on this thing!

Not really my style, so I'll leave you guys to it.

You are right though, this all happened today and I'm not used to dealing with neither loans nor forums so ive been getting a bit mixed up. You guys did help me to realise I shouldn't just put up with !!!!!! unethical sevices from quick loans as I wasn't going to do too much about them. I was only worried about finding ways to help others be told about the scammers, I didn't actually ask for anything else...

Anyway, thanks for the help, still think I've got a point about the tone of Apples2's first message, but hey ho!!

Well your post has joined about a million others on here (and similar financial based forums) warning about this but as you are testament, nobody ever researches anything first.

It's much more the preferred option to pay the random fees, dish out debit card details etc to anyone and everyone and THEN start researching if it was a good idea.

The £100 would have most likely been requested via uKash vouchers or similar which is completely impossible to retrieve.

Who are Quick Loans anyhow, do you have a website link?
If so, we may be able to help him get a refund of his "joining fee".

Your Husbands first mistake was paying a fee to join this nonsense. As he is discovering, all they did was to farm out his details to scammers. They will do no more than this.

No matter how desperate he is, Google will NOT find him a loan, nor will a random cold call he receives on the phone number he gave out, nor via an email.

This was my, 'hi, welcome to our forum's first reply, sarcasm laden second paragraph to boot. I have to say it wasn't what I expected.

Bye!!

Geeeezo......

Really didn't think I would need to point this out but here you go...

First of all, I put a link on my first message but I had to take it off as new people can't send messages with links.

But that is beside the point:

I did not ask you for help with quick loans, in fact that was not even part of my initial question.

You are insisting on me answering your question, and you haven't attempted to answer mine.

Thank you for your kind offer of help with quick loans, but it's not the help I need right now.

Now if you have a helpful answer, please do tell, if not, I will seek guidance elsewhere.

I'm also very sorry that you feel the need to call me pathetic.

Does anyone, at all, get my point, and does anyone have any further ideas to help me help others by letting people know about the scammers, as I'm really really not interested in arguing with anyone.

I just want an answer to my question.

Thanking you all in advance and I will post quick loans details as soon as I'm allowed to.

If the bolded bit was your question then Apples2 answered it with his first post. Adding the Yahoo address here will also help anyone else who is approached by this scammer or you could try visiting one of the many Anti-Scam websites and posting your story there.

The Indian gentleman is an Advanced Fee Scammer - there would have been no loan and had your husband paid the £100, there would have been more fees to be paid and he would never have received a loan.

You may not agree, but Quick Loans is the problem you need to deal with now, if you want your money back from them. Of course the 60 quid or whatever your husband has paid to them may not be important to you (if you can afford to be throwing money away why is your husband scraping the bottom of the barrel for loans?), but if it is then you probably only have 14 days from when he signed up with them to claim the refund.

The loans forum is one which is very much tough love, others such as the debt free board and benefits are far more cuddly.

I get your point about the fact that you haven't paid anything, and the more experienced members on this board are a little jaded by the consistent newbies pointing out they've hands out card details willy hilly which you or husband haven't done.

However you've received advice on the typical approach that is recommended and in relation to your second point then there's only so much you can do to stop stupid people throwing their money away.

There are thousands of threads on this board with many more posts and a significant number relate to payday lenders and loan brokers, and there are thousands of responses detailing the procedure to follow to either claim a refund or mitigate the damage done by borrowing at stupidly high rates.

Maybe you want to walk down the street with a sandwich board on or take an advert in the paper detailing the damaging effect of dealing with these people, there will still be thousands of people who continue to do so.

Seriously I am surprised to see these kind of Loan Brokers still exist! I am going back many years when I was naïve, stupid and vulnerable as well as unwell... I tried to get loans and I came across so many of these brokers who wanted fees to find me a loan - even as stupid as I was, I would have never parted with my bank details or paid a membership fee to them!

I really can't believe people think these companies are genuinely going to find you a loan! Whether they are licenced or not they are crooks, it's as simple as that!

It looks like your husband has had a lucky escape - from the Quick Loans T&Cs:
There is no charge for any service that is performed on the QuickLoans.co.uk website. At no point will you be asked to make payment or reveal any payment details to this website.

It is interesting that Quick Loans has a page on loan scams that says
What we do know is that these individuals behind this loan scam are based in India and ask for money to be transferred by Money Gram or similar

What they fail to mention is that it appears that these scammers get their leads from customers who register with services such as Quick Loans.

As for customerservicewizardloan@yahoo.co.uk - no legitimate lender would operate using a Yahoo email address.

After making the mistake of entering my details and being robbed by them last year, I ended up cancelling my debit card, and never visiting any of these sites again, I haven't visited a payday loan site or anything. This morning loans Direct style another £70 from my account via debit? How is this so when they don't have my new debit card details? Absolutely furious this morning.
