Money Moral Dilemma: Should I buy my boyfriend a new jumper?

This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks...
My boyfriend bought a new lambswool jumper recently and I thought I'd wash it for him. But I did it on too high a heat, causing it to shrink considerably. While he could do with losing weight, he'll never fit into it - should I buy a new one?

Yes, I'd buy a new one as I'd feel it was my fault it shrunk .0

I'm starting to think that the people contacting MSE with these 'dilemmas' may need more help getting through their lives than can be provided on a forum.0

Or maybe no one is contacting them so The Team are coming up with them themselves.. in which case a little more imagination may be required!
Maybe they should start a thread titled 'what stupid questions should we pose to the forum?'
In response to the question.. I'd speak to him about it.. it might be a jumper he loathes and is glad to see the back off! Wool jumpers are the itchiest things in the world.. I've said before that i'd love to do them and i could make them more entertaining than Nick's but i fear i would be treading on his turf if i did it and they would give me a red card for doing it betterOr maybe no one is contacting them so The Team are coming up with them themselves.. in which case a little more imagination may be required!

All in all though, the shrunk jumper would fit his action man :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yes, I'd go out and get another jumper. I'd also apologise for shrinking the jumper.0
