A significant proportion of MSE recommendations use affiliate referral links, and in the case of Ovivo the link goes via Tradedoubler.

Thank you - clear, helpful and accurate!:j

In my experience, if you use it sensibly they don't seem to have a problem or care.

I've had the same too. I use my phone (unlimited internet on Giffgaff) for Youtube etc. The dongle on my lappy is more for browsing, or online shopping.

    It's used sensibly each month.

In case anyone did not know!
Upptalk is a mobile VoIP application. So unlike Ovivo a wi-fi or 3G connection is needed.
Simply by downloading and installing the app will give your free calls to US, Canada and UK landlines.
Then by watching ads, downloding games, apps, taking part in surveys, etc one can earn credits that can be used for free calls and texts to anywhere in the world.

From the users posting in the other thread, sounds like a load of carp that doesn't work very well (if at all).

Based on my personal experience, albeit only couple of days, I have not had any probs.
Soon after installing, I made a few landline calls to UK and Canada. Earned a few credits and made three calls abroad.
All without costing me a penny :-)

I've tried it a few times and never have got it to work, unless I'm missing something. I should be able to text a uk mobile number strait away yes?

They say that landline numbers to UK, US and Canada are free.
So you may need to earn credits before texting or anything else.

If I have problem with an app, re-installing it often works.
    Good Luck!
  • I'll give it another go then , thanks

    Get a Three 321 sim.

Best payg tariff there is. Simply 3p per min, 2p per text and 1p per megabyte.

If he uses 10 mins per month then you will be topping up once per year maximum.

IS there any expire date for the credit you add on each top up.
For instance I top up £15. If I do not use it often for instance I just use £1 call/data/text credit (say) in a year is my end of year balance will still be £14. Or will the remaining credit will expire ??
