... and in view of Three's message that 'Your credit will not expire', I do not expect it to expire after 180 days of non-use, no matter how unlikely that non-use period may be.
But I guess that this falls under 'Suspension of Three services' not expiry of PAYG credit. (clause 9 of the terms and conditions which says 6 months)

This very complicated para seems to be at variance with the otherwise clear and simple statements saying credit will not expire. I wonder if it could be used in practice.
In my case, it's highly unlikely that I wouldn't make a call or use a smidgeon of data in a 6-month period. I can see others with a 'granny in a glovebox' phone being concerned.0 -
This attitude does not help ....
MSE is an open forum. The advice is non binding and you are free to follow it or leave it. You do not pay a penny, do you ? ...
Keep in mind there are millions of people get helped from this site and forum. What about you. Did you help other people like this site does .....????
The only people who are making this comment is the one who are selfish, his main interest is just to get his own money back. If you want to get your money back as well as helping other people to get their money back keep pressure to Ovivo, take initiative to report it to authority, gather alliance, create website to gather alliance for those who have been affected by Ovivo closure. MSE has done that. Interesting to know what you have done sofar rather then your current selfish comment.
When you read advice on any website where you do not pay and then you take action based on the article or the advice from those website, did you ask them to pay you back, especially if the advice due to circumstance beyond your control.
People advice you a magic number for a lottery some even pay for it and if you follow his advice and you do not win.
People advice you to overcome obesity and you still put up some weigh
Hair clinic advice of baldness where in fact the advice does not help ...
There are a lot of investment advice on the newspaper websites available for free
For all of these cases, If you do not win of do not get what you are expecting Could you ask them to pay the money you loose..
I am also effected by Ovivo but IMO it is completely unfair to ask MSE to pay me back just because the article they put on their website which I have a choice to follow or not to follow. I do not pay a penny either ....
Keep in Mind MSE has helped a lot of people but this selfish post just undermine all good things to what MSE has done. Also I repeat again you do not pay a penny and like any member you or I are free to visit or not to visit this website. It is our choice ........ Perhaps MSE Martin should consider making a refund out of his own pocket (he can afford it) to all those who took his advice and were suckered into this ponzi scheme as a result
(Of course, if you are successful in getting anything back eventually, then such refunds can go back to MSE Martin)0 -
Yay! I had a charge-back success from Capital One!
I have been returned £15 of my initial £18 outlay for the sim (it was a 10% off weekend), I only had the sim activated for 18 days I think it was, thankfully I didn't transfer my number across, so no pain there. I wasn't expecting it to be successful, but I am pleasantly surprised.0 -
Did anyone ever get their PAC code resolved?
My wife and my mother didn't. I guess they now have a nice database full of phone numbers which they will be able to sell on. Stolen goods, basically.0 -

And what 'goods' exactly were 'stolen'? Everyone who wanted to port their number out did it.0 -

No problem at all, I arranged 3 ports on 2 accounts, all went without a problem.ptrichardson wrote: »My wife and my mother didn't. I guess they now have a nice database full of phone numbers which they will be able to sell on. Stolen goods, basically.
I'm presuming you don't really understand ports (or how mobile numbers work), the numbers that people couldn't be bothered to port would have been terminated and after a quarantine period will be available for the original network issuer to reuse if they wished.====0 -

I didn't. I tried a few times via the website - I think it may have been a date of birth problem. I didn't bother with the email option that they later offered.
It was not too much of a problem as it was not my primary number and not too many people to notify.

They have not been terminated yet. Interestingly I kept the sim in a phone and it can still receive calls. Received one recently from someone who I had notified but had failed to change the number.
Not sure when it will become inactive - 6 months maybe.0 -

I understand just fine thanks. Its not like porting a number is a mystery. I've done it about 5 times myself. As has my wife.
My mother's and wife's requests were never completed. There was a code for the wife's number, but it didn't work (I seem to recall thousands of people received the exact same code).
Seems to me that Ovivo have a nice pot of phone numbers that they can sell on now.
They must be worth real money - if you recall, Ovivo paid their members £3 if they ported their number in.0
