how does this affect web-saver customers then? which I assume is most people.

Apparently they have been selling gas at a loss for the last 3 months.. my heart bleeds for them.

Websaver 11 is going up from tier 1 23.075 to 25.475 and tier 2 7.856 to 10.225 for me so roughly 2.4p per unit rise. Which feels like a heck of a lot more than average 16% advertised. 10% on tier one and 23% on tier 2. Not had a bill yet to see how that would work out.

Im on websaver 11 aswell and on the BG website they actually say that our prices are going up, on average 22% for gas and 19% for electric. They have the full list of affect tariffs on their website

I am B.G dual fuel customer.

No wonder they keep phoning last few days offering me 'free' this that whatever for my 'loyalty'

I am getting peed off with the whole switching malarkey, often their isn't much saving to be had as they are all in this price rigged cartel anyway and if you do find a saving its only short lived until the next round of price jiggling messes it up again.

...and switching often means giving up the facilities you want, I like to submit monthly readings online and pay each month for what I actually used - hate lending them my money during the summer on spread payment schemes but of course the companies love them!

Sorry rant over.. off to start drilling in the garden for my own gas and to buy some sheep for woolly jumpers.

Also a websaver 11 customer and I think we are taking quite a hit on this one. They are increasing the tier 2 price significantly more than the average price rise (I make it 30%).

Time we started using the vast reservoirs of coal we have, it was said at the time that we put too much into gas powered power stations, we have hundreds of years of coal in our country.
