thank you, we're going for two days in a few weeks. i'd be grateful for your advice on best money saving way to go about it.
if i use the suns free entry tickets on the first day for my husband and i, and i use a walkers brit trip voucher to get the two children in for the price of one.
i could transfer my tesco vouchers into alton towers deals for my husband and i then use a walkers brit trip voucher for the second day, but i'd rather save them if i could.
there used to be a way of getting really cheap second day entry, do you need to retain tickets, it's been years since i've been to alton towers.
thanks in advance for any advice.

i too have a question. I have a disability, in receipt of dla (not registered disabled) and require a carer with me. Would I/she have to pay full price for entry - i wont be going on any rides, though carer prob would with my eldest daughter. Also, as my daughter is 11, and mild special needs, she cant really manage to stand in queue on her own (no way i can stand in queue, plus i will have toddler). carer obviously cant split in two - any suggestions?

and thanks for you kind offer to help

I'm the same as you, Jetcat...last time I went me and the OH both paid reduced admission...I just checked and it is £17.50 for you and two carers. You need to take proof of DLA or blue badge.

    Hi Ickleem

Than you for this timely post as we were only just discussing organising a trip to Alton Towers for a group of us, 4 families, each with 2 adults & 2 kids.

We wanted to drive up on a friday and stay 2 nights at the Alton Towers hotel and have Saturday admission to the park possibly with express passes to avoid queues.

What is the best way to go about getting prices incl any discounts?

    Many thanks

    J

many thanks. just wondering then, if that is for 2 carers, wondering if i can have my 11 yr old as a 'carer' as well?

    any advice re the queuing?

    Re: Carers

When I went in Feb for half term, they would only let me have one carer with me at half price because I'm not physically disabled. Apparently it's only people in wheelchairs who can have more than one carer in at the reduced rate.

However, we all got the special access bands which is the whole point of going!
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Right where to start! - sorry havent replied sooner been busy

    Firstly
    - Albalass - They way i would do it would to just get the sun vouchers for u and ur husband and the walkers vouchers will get ur kids in for half price not buy one get one free so the kids would be half £26! and then go in for the one day for the next day u want to go you can buy (on your way out) a come back tomorrow ticket which will cost you £8 each
    Hope that helped

    Next
    - Jetcat - you will get the disabled rate of £17.50 and so can two carers plus if you take your proof of disability you will get wristbands so that you can simply walk up the exits to the rides so no queuing :)

    - jj2579 - this one is quite difficult as i do not know the prices for the hotel as they do infact include park admission within the price of the room, so i can only offer you an idea of prices for the fast tracks in which are: Fasttrack Adventurer - Corkscrew, Charlie and Run-away mine train - £4, Fasttrack Rita - £4 and Fasttrack Thrills - Oblivion, Air, Nemisis & Flume £8

    - techmob - the best way for you is to get the walkers crisps offer which will get you all in at a hlaf price rate, you will need to get 1 voucher each

    - Jetcat (again) - i have the answer for you queuing in my post for you :)

    - Emmylou - some of the staff do that but i know that quite a few of us do give two carers so it jus depends who u go to!

    Hope i helped!!!

    thanks ick -

a great help! am still a little worried though - as it wont be me going on the rides, it will be my daughter - she doesnt have proof of any special needs etc. if we go to the front, would it just be me allowed on without queuing?

also, referreing back to what a previous poster said, i am not in a wheelchair - does that make a difference between one/two carers getting the disabled rate? not that i mind really, as i will either pay child rate for my daughter (age 11) or the disabled rate (as a carer - would she qualify, aged 11?)

sorry for all the questions, i am passing the info on to my support worker/carer so that we can plan properly!
