You may remember the ebay listing last week warning people of these voucher scams. Well they are now rife. The guy who posted about this got over 1000 replies from people sick of this, sick of ebay doing nothing about it and sick of being scammed themselves.
EBAY ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT THIS !!! Dont believe me? Here are some more and i have seen at least six so far today, and i aint searched every voucher. These imo are definate scams:

If they have limited feedback and are selling high priced items, just ask yourself...... Why?
I contacted one of the guys telling him i would collect them personally for the cash wanted. He said no, post only !!!!
Im not going to say what the scam is cos if you dont know, its so easy you would probably do it yourself. Suffice to say, Royalmail must be as sick of this as anyone, well, except for the poor people who lose their savings.
Just check the feedback given to these guys above and then check those people and it wont take you long to see that this is happening everyday and just how easy it is.
I have contacted ebay, so have hundreds, just to be given automated replies and then nothing happens.
The original poster who highlighted this on ebay by putting up a joke listing has had his taken down by ebay. WHY??? HE WAS TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE !!!!
I dont know where to turn. No one but that guy seems interested.
All im asking from you guys is this :
If you have ever been scammed, please either say so on this thread, or if you are concerned about any ebay scam, also mention it here, or if you are as sick of this as i am, just add your signature. Please help me just highlight this. Thats all i ask, send no money to these guys or me......like them, im not selling anything.
Maybe, just maybe, someone will read this, take interest and sort this once and for all cos it just seems to be happening daily and im sick of not being able to do anything about it. People (often very poor people) are getting ripped off every day and its about time this was stopped.
Thanks to everyone who has took the time to read this.

I'm not going to get sucked into the rant-fest, but I will report those listings.
Edit: at least I would if there was any proof of wrong-doing. What have they done that is reportable, OP?My TV is broken!

We got scammed a couple of years ago, not by a voucher scam it was a mobile phone scam. Woman was claiming she was selling mobile phones, had good feedback of over 300 all positive about 150 people bought phones off her for about £250 each. It then transpired that she was actually selling a link although didn't state that in the auction. When people requested their money back she replied that she didn't have it. All us buyers got together an opened a forum. We contacted the police who told us it was a civil matter (never mind the fact that she was commiting fraud) Anyhow enough people were logging calls to the police that they eventually started giving out crime numbers. Eventually the woman concerned was jailed for 6 months...as for ebay....they didn't care less!!!

Needless to say we didn't see any of our money again!!0 -
I cant go into the scam Fay, suffice to say, if you put these in your watched items, watch how quickly after the listing finishes that the ebayer gets struck off from ebay and how quickly a new one appears, with limited feedback again and then they themselves get struck off. Its been happening for months and ebay, as with the poster above, couldnt care less.0

Well, if you can give me a category to report them for, I'll do it.My TV is broken!

This is dangerous ground for money saving expert.
Could be scams but could just as easily be genuine. Do we really want to go down this route?
What are the legal implications when a genuine seller finds out you are naming and supposedly shaming them?0 -
All im asking is for ebay to look at these listings, they are typical of all the others and if not, then they will prove me wrong.
I dont want arguments with anyone, except the scammers and ebay, who seem to be the only ones who dont wanna argue.
I give up !0 -
Richie, why not post here:

I can see this is causing a problem. Please remove my thread an i will never post again. Apologies to all concerned. I was oly tryin to help the people who have and who will lose out, no offence intended.0

By and large most people are honest, sadly ebay has it's fair share of dubious characters.
Some of those voucher listings maybe real some may not, but all you can really do is report them and let Ebay decide.
It really is a case of buyer beware when buying from Ebay, you need to research the seller and make your own judgement as to how safe it can be.0
