Anyone use payperdrop?

Options
I asked the other day about parcel force and someone mentioned payperdrop on ebay. My parcel would be £14.85 with parcel force, with payperdrop it would be £4.99. A p&p price of £4.99 woud make my item a lot more appealing but its worth £100 and I don't want it going missing.

So has anyone used payperdrop? What are they like?

I used them for the first time last week, after reading about them on here. Big parcel, with loads of wrapping (it was a return of a computer flat screen monitor to the manufacturers - wrong item sent). Cost £4.99, pick up on day specified - had to stay in all day but that was okay - and all went swimmingly.

The paperwork the driver gave me was from DHL, so I don't know if Payperdop have some sort of deal with the big guys. I thought maybe they piggybacked onto empty spaces in courier vans which is why it can be so cheap - the vans would not get any money for the gaps without Payperdrop? Does anyone know how they operate?

Anyway, no problems at all, good sevrice, thoroughly recommend.

I've used them lots of times without problems. They are just selling the services of DHL but at a very good price. I guess they get a bulk buying discount from DHL. All the transport side is done by DHL so your you can track the parcel online.
Make sure you stay within the maximum size limits.
Although it says next day it's not guaranteed, but even 48 hour would be good at this price.
I always have the parcels picked up from work as they can pick up at any time of the day.
Where did you get £4.99 from? I've only ever found it at £5.99

I have used them many times and its always DHL that collect. They have always been better than some other courier company's I have used from eBay before now. I would give them a go they are very good and cheaper than the PO

  • I have used payperdrop about 5 times now (also at £5.99?) and the service has been excellent every time. The parcel has always been collected the day after i ordered, even when i ordered pretty late at night! And was with the buyer the next day :) Ive always had friendly drivers too :)

  • I use Home Textiles on ebay who use parcelforce. Parcelforce 48 is £5.99 and 24 is £6.99. Much better than DHL imo.

Our DHL driver is great, friendly turns up around the same time most times.

I usually prefer parcelforce for collections, they're cut off is later in the morning for same day, and they always come late afternoon, none of this waiting in all day!

I have used ppd over 100 times - only had 3 problems - if you go for the £6.99 next day guaranteed service, if it gets there late, you get a free delivery from them next time.
I have just booked the £4.99 service for the 1st time - if you are not constrained by a time limit, it seems an excellent price.
I will not use parcelforce again unless I have NO other choice, they let me down very badly the last time I used them, via MH direct for £7.25.

i have stopped using PPD. the last 3 items i sent were not trackable at all at any point, and no confirmation of delivery. don't know why this is happening. although there is a new driver and it all started going wrong since he started so not sure if there is something he is doing wrong.

all i know is i can't risk my items going completely untracked with no proof of delivery in case of paypal claim back

Do any of you people know if you can order a pickup from someone for delivery to me. A few things on eBay take my fancy but postage far to high!
