Lose Weight 12

Hello, and welcome to the Lose Weight thread - number 12! I've been looking back at old Lose Weight threads and they used to run for months - there are so many of us chatting and losing weight now that we need to start a new one every month!
You can still access the old thread HERE although it will be locked shortly.
You dont have to be following a specific weight loss plan to join in. Some of the plans being followed are Slimming World, Weight Watchers, Rosemary Connolly and many folk are "going it alone".
There are plenty of recipes to help you HERE and there are links to useful websites below.
If you want to join the 2lb Weight Loss club, send me an email or a PM, or just post on this thread. I keep a chart with all the members, their result and their weight loss so far, which I update and post every Wednesday evening. If you attend a slimming class, just post your weight loss on whatever day you go and I'll pick it up for the next update. If you're going it alone, set Wednesday as your regular weigh in day and post your results and I'll include them. I can also include an interim target - see below for the monthly challenge - and show how close you are to achieving it.
No need to reveal your actual weight (unless you want to) and I don't need any evidence - there's no point in cheating, you'd only be cheating yourself!
You can join in the monthly challenge, which is a method we have devised to set ourselves 'bite-size' targets. We've just started the May challenge, which is to lose 5 pounds by Wednesday 30th May. It's purely a way to motivate ourselves to lose weight, so if you're worried about joining in, don't be, no-one will hit you over the head if you don't get to target!

A new thread seems a good place to start, can I join?
I haven't actually started the diet yet, this week I will join sort out shopping lists etc, then start the diet proper next week. I'll submit my first weight loss on Wednesday the 23rd
I'm doing Slimming World online and I hope you lot will keep me on track as I won't have the support of a class.0 -
Thanks Lois for starting the new thread. Quite chuffed with myself that I didn't lose interest when I first joined in thread 9 - think that says alot about the support and advice offered by everyone here. Reading through the posts has helped me keep going, even when that has meant maintaining rather than losing. I know that without this thread I would have put on the stone I lost at the beginning of the year rather than hover around it, if you know what I mean (sorry, I do rabbit on don't I? )
Had a really good day yesterday as very preoccupied with new (or should I say 'recycled' man as I was seeing him a couple of months ago) but then saw him in the evening and wasn't very strong willed (mean about what I chose to eat and drink
) so that doesn't help the healthy eating.
Think will have to be super duper strict on myself on the no-man days and then can enjoy myself the other days. Will try that and see if I lose anything next week, otherwise going to have to have a rethink. Why do I enjoy food and wine so much?
Have a good day everyone.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Well done Neko, Loopy-loo73, loopylass30, beanielou, petrichor, Karren… and anyone that I missed >< :j
(my there seems to be a few loopy people around these days :rotfl: )
victory^^ Wowser! Congrats on all the measurement losses – I didn’t realise. That’s awe inspiring. :T :T
Hugs to Ishtar but as you know where it come from you’ll soon shift it again I’m sure
Hello to Lyndsay, whatatwit, filigree and Larmy :hello:
A big  to Lois for the new thread.
I lost 1 lb, which I'm more than happy with
Hmmm.... guess I should go buy a tape measure0 -
Posted a long ramble at 7 this morning and it's disappeared. Where is it?
Edit: just looked and it's come back again!!Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Weighing in time!
This bank holiday malarky has well thrown me off, so it was a bit of a panic weigh in this morning!
And I am... drum roll please.... 71.6kg. I think it's a maintain, but I've not tracked it...
I know, I know! Whippings for the Sa1...
Having said that, I'm expecting at best a maintain after a bank holidat that started with chinese, progressed to pizza and then finished off with staying up until 4am playing Playstation. Needless to say it wasn't the dancemat... I broke that last week:eek:OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670 -
Thanks Lois for the new thread, not sure what I did with my time before this thread got hold of me and uses up all my time:j :j
Well done Erlqueen fabulous result again:D the measuremets do sometimes save the day to keep going because if the scales do not tell the story the diminishing measurements do and it keeps you motivated to continue....
Welcome filigree we are all here to support each other and you will not be on your own, such a lovely bunch of peeps you will never find xx0 -

Ahh romance... I've quite forgotten what that's all about
Sa1 - or :j or :T orabout the 'possible' maintain
I've never had a dancemat for any of my Playstations - far to energetic and that's also my reason for not getting a Wii :eek:0 -
I have lost 3 pounds! That is my first stone! :j :j Rach you have done so well-well done. Welcome filigree. Well done Erlqueen on the loss and Sa1sysoo on the maintain. I'm off to check my measurements and see if my bmi has changed. Good luck to all those who haven't weighed in yet.0
