Daily thread for 3rd March 07

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 03/03. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all.
Up early this morning due to it being dh sat at work and footy kicking off at a earlier time.
Want to send a few hugs out.
Blairwitch-So glad to hear you and other half are back together.
BarginBabe--Fingers crossed for your school placement arriving today
Catowen-Hope you have had a good nights sleep.
And the biggest hugs to MOGGINS-My thoughts are with you, i hope you can sort it all out,you come across as such a strong person, i know you will be fine.

Hugs to anyone else that need them.
Looking forward to todays footy match, seens as we have found out the other team intend to cheat but playing 3 unregistered players!! Found out from a good source ( one of the parents of the ilegal players) So i am expecting fun and games !!!
Have a wonderfull sat all.
Donna

Anyway the weather is pants, so I am glad I am working this w/end.
But not till 2, so I have some time to loaf about the house and do a few jobs. I have return a tool to the shop which lasted a whole 3 seconds before breaking. Nice one china!

Well UI woke up at 5 despite me having a lie in today ( can sleep in till 7 on sats due to less traffic on the way in to work)

I have a really busy day at work today. Im hoping the rain holds off, its bobbins doing viewings when its pouring & the traffic slows down too :( Hopefully Ill find someone the home of thier dreams today :)

OH is in awaiting our non OS tumble dryer delivery :o and someone to fix the front door. So far Ive piled up some dry washing, made tea, whizzed round the lounge, and gathered some vouchers together. OH is undertaking the first ever independent menu plan & shopping list and on my way home from work Ill whizz by Mr Ts and collect him and the scoff.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Morning everyone

In work until 1 today then need to pop to Morrisons as there was something I couldn't get when I went shopping the other day. At this time of the morning I am beggered if I can remember what but I am sure it will come to me :D

My father in law is going into hospital today for a small operation and tonight we are taking mother in law in for visiting. She has invited us for dinner beforehand. For the second day on the trot I am asking you all to wish me luck

The last time we went for dinner (it was last year as we had been away at Christmas and then them just after so I kinda thought this was a replacement Christmas dinner) we got those frozen potato letters (3 of), a tortilla wrap (empty), a sprinkling of grated cheese and some coleslaw. I came home blooming starving! But the piece de resistence was the pudding: an ice lolly that if we wanted she would take off the stick and put in a bowl :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Must dash

    Bye for now

I'm off to disneyland paris this morning for a long week-end with my grandson. He is really buzzing about it as he's never been on the Eurostar and never stayed in an hotel either .Bless him he worked hard for his 11+ and it's my treat to him for all his hard work.he passed and has got ito his school of choice as well so all's well in North Kent this morning.
I shall be taking the photo's though, as my days of riding on roundabouts are long gone .
The weather isn't looking too promising at the moment but I don't think our Ben really cares much. He has been packed since last week !!
I hope all on here have a good week -end and i shall return hopefully by Tuesday <<hugs to all in need >> and smiles to the rest

    Morning All

Woke early this morning tho dont now why but do feel refreshed. Just sitting here with my second cuppa.

Has rained heavily here all night and the garden is flooded, such a pity as yesterday everywhere was drying up nicely with the sun and wind. Puppy has been in and out all night so my floor is brown.

Football training will be inside today and the match tomorrow will probably be cancelled.

Plan for today is - washing, wash floors and ironing. Have a man coming this morning to move a gas pipe in our kitchen as we knocked a wall down this week. Been looking at kitchen brochures all week and keep changing my mind what I want. Oh well sure I will get there one day.

Anyway best be off - JackieO - enjoy Eurodisney - try and go on the PeterPan ride its very sedate and one of my most favourite rides.

    Enjoy you weekend everyone.

Edited to say (((Moggins))) just caught up with yesterdays thread. Stay strong and you will come through this.

jackie0 enjoy your hols with dgs
skystar i cant imagine what dinner will be like this time, lol

its frosty here today but it was so sunny yesterday so hope it will be the same, i have ds2 and fdil here just now, its always lovely to see them, ds1 is coming over for a week from iraq for a break but i wont see him as dil is going to brize where he lands as its a days journey more or less each way to come up here so not worth it, he will only have four weeks to do when he goes back

might go to library and intend to go to aldi at some point as they have wool on offer from tomorrow

    hugs to all xx

Morning to all before and after.
Have a blank canvas of a day ahead, and I'm seriously tired after running this place and holding down full time job, and looking after OH who can do nothing. Sorry, not quite nothing, I found that pulling a chair up to the kitchen sink enabled him to rest the knee of the broken ankled leg on the chair, keeping the ankle elevated AND can now do the washing up...... once a day!!!
Walking the dog, buying the Newspapers, and doing lots of phoning/texting & letter writing to catch up with friends. Only two hours of marking this weekend (sneakily doing it within school day means no breaks, but at least there's hardly any work to bring home). Just have a small pile of ironing to do, but the rest of the weekend is mine (Gloat)
