Update note 18 May The link to the 1% cashback card has changed. Please read the cashback article for the correct link.
I've just added this to the Cashback article
Citibank Platinum Visa is paying 1% cashback on all spending up to £20,000. However the card is not readily available. You can't go to their site - they're pumping it via various comparison sites as 'exclusives'
LINK DELETED - CARD NO LONGER AVAILABLE - PLEASE SEE ARTICLE BELOW FOR CURRENT BEST
To read more details see the best cashback card article.

Im expecting a platinum card off them this week as well. I applied on 21st Feb and they have been really slow.
I assume this is only for new cards that have not been applied for yet?0 -
I was just reading the cashback T&Cs and it says:
'If the total value of cash back accrued in any twelve month period is less than £5, We will not make the cash back rebate. This will be returned to £0.'
Am I right in thinking you would therefore have to spend at least £500/year to get some cashback? (I have an amex platinum so will only use my visa when amex not accepted- that's why I'm wondering)
I will probably put my broadband £17.99 per month onto the citibank visa card as they don't accept amex- any ideas what other regular payments I could put on it?0 -
You could pay most bills on credit card I think. Some you will need to call every month, but some can do a CPA, continuous payment authority, but beware these things are dangerous in the wrong hands. If the company isnt very good at listening to you and doesnt cancel, there isnt a lot you can do. Also, even if you close the card and account, apparently the card can rise from the grave and you will still be liable for the charges. Scary stuff!0

Intriguing, as most other cash back cards are reducing the percentage paid at the moment.
Still getting 1% from my Circle Card for the time being at least!Ethical moneysaver0 -

I'm still getting 0.8% from MoreTh>n, despite the highest cashback available now to new customers is 0.5%.
Mind you, I have a high APR of over 30%, but as I pay it off in full every month, it's irrelevant.0 -
Whats the chances of this 1% cashback offer bein withdrawn after joining ?
Anyone any thoughts ??0 -

A very distinct possibility. "Loss leader" immediately springs to mind.0 -
Just applied and was accepted online, perfect for me as my Student Barclaycard stopped giving me cashback in January.
Thanks!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
At the bottom of the T&Cs, it says that cashback will be paid only on the first £20,000. So there's a point where other cards which have lower cashback rates are more beneficial.
If you spend a large amount each year on your card, it's worth checking whether sticking with Morgan Stanley or others which have different schemes is actually better. In my case, it's a toss up and so probably not worth the trouble.0 -
Tried to apply on line to-day after receiving Martin's e-mail. Apparently their system is not currently receiving information back from the web applications and they are 'up-dating' their website. Hope to be up and running again by the week-end. Their Contact Us facility does not work either, so telephoned them on the freefoone number obtained on the 'say no to 0870' website."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0
